You lost me when you said that having a higher frame rate ADDS blur.
The reason why higher framerates seem unnatural is because it REMOVES the blur that we are used to seeing.
720p on a 1080p television playing at 60fps looks significantly better than a 1080p game playing on a 1080p tv at 30 frames. The smooth motion is more important than slightly higher resolution.
If this were an argument between 720p and 4k ultra hd then I could see the positives...
Not always but the visual difference between 30fps and 60fps is far more distinct and beneficial to the gameplay/aesthetic than the difference between 720p and 1080p.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WATCHING THIS GARBAGE VIDEO
This guy said nothing in the time that he wasted.
Definitely doesn't have a web personality.
Also, the jump cuts in the middle of this style of video blog are supposed to take out the awkward pauses and speed up the pace. I almost feel that this guy deserves a commendation for managing to do just the opposite of that with his jump cuts by somehow making it seem even longer and dryer t...
Yes please to numbers 1 and 5
The issue isn't motion control or unnecessary and failing peripherals, it's the fact that when they knew that the current generation 360 and ps3 was coming to an end they had a chance to get a leg up on the competition by release a next gen console a year earlier. Instead they made the mistake of making a console that technically isn't even as powerful as the top console from that generation which completely isolates them from a majority of third party developers who refuse to mak...
I actually thought this was a pretty well written article and I'm a total nintendo diehard.
I want to love my Wii U more but they really shot themselves in the foot when they decided to use seven year old technology from Microsoft and Sony as their basis for competition instead of thinking one year further ahead and releasing something remotely comparable to the next gen power house consoles.
The first party games will continue to be great but I don't expect well ever ...
My launch controllers that have been with me since middleschool work better than ever! I went on a gamecube binge not too long ago and fixed them all up.
That sounds like it'd be too illegal for print
Wait. This is a real magazine? I thought it was a joke
Considering that I just soldered new joysticks onto all of my old gamecube controllers, I'm super excited for this. This is way better news than the gamecube inspired wii peripheral controller.
I hope this isn't true. Putting anything in there other than classic Halo 2 multiplayer would be a major blunder on 343i's part especially when you take into consideration the fact that Halo 4's multiplayer community dropped to levels lower than what Halo Reach hire every night in just a few months after launch.
I'm pretty certain that this could be a major console seller if it's done right. Please don't screw this up 343i!
Battle mode hasn't been good since the n64 days.
Great news but why does the article title have such a negative sound to it?
"Limited to 16tb"?
Why not "it goes all the way up to 16tb!"?
The whole thing he described was a stupid April fools prank from six or seven years ago. Some podcast " leaked" it.
This guy wants some dumb things from Nintendo.
Try weak developing. There already are multiple games running 1080p 60fps on the xbox one.
Its just easier to blame the console.
YES YES YES
Edit:
Should have read the article first. Just make a damn wii u pro controller that looks like a gamecube. I don't want to tether to an effing wiimote
What do you expect from a dumb article written to grab views on a newsless Monday?
What amazes me is that my complaint isn't stemming from the idiotic n4g community, it's coming from the headlines of published web journalists.
I swear two months ago no body used the "are" thing and then after one guy did it, everyone started doing it. Just effing say it out loud. It sounds terrible.
Because it's wrong!
Completely irrelevant to the subject of this article but this new trend in gaming journalism of using the word "Are" in front of a developer company is driving me absolutely insane.
Sure a company consists of multiple people the developer title refers to one single entity being the company.
Rockstar "are not" doing anything.
Rockstar IS going to do something.
Same goes for people saying "a xbox". Just say it that way and...
Can we please stop wasting the weekly deals on Cod Ghosts and nba 2k14?
It happens at least once a month.
