@PresidentRonnie
"MS may lower the price of the XB1s next year as well, and price Scorpio the same price XB1s is currently priced at. Which I believe is the case."
So you believe a $399 Scorpio will be able to do what a $1000 PC struggles to do...and that is Native 4K/60fps gaming.
Not to mention in the Spencer interview he said "high-end consumer". Which pretty much guarantees it'll cost more than the 2TB XB1S&...
Thats a really good starting number for the Pro...And 3.5 Million PS4's in Japan??? Bu-Bu-But people keep saying Japan doesn't matter
@bouzebbal
That's an interesting point. Your theory is also supported by the fact that Spencer says "our games line-up this year" and never even thinks of mentioning Quantum Break. Which is odd because back in August Greenberg said “Quantum Break sold really well, it exceeded what we expected it to do. We were really pleased with how Quantum Break did." ( http://wccftech.com/...
Your right. Its not damage control. Its just the standard PR mumbo-jumbo that all corporations do. I mean, what does "incredible reception from gamers everywhere" actually mean?
Answer: Absolutely anything you want it to mean since that phrase is a completely subjective phrase.
"And our games line-up this year has had an incredible reception from gamers everywhere, from ReCore to Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3."
I wonder if (in January) the Xbox group will announce how their holiday line-up sold like they did last year.
Nier: Automata's producer said that the Xbox One would only get the game if it sells well on PC/PS4. So Xbox owners who want the game are at the mercy of it selling well on PC/PS4. Thus, the Xbox gamers are at the mercy of the PS4 & PC owners buying it
I hope this gets to Xbox so more people can enjoy this game (just like I hope Dead Rising 4 gets to PS4 so more people can enjoy that game). It would be good for as many games as possible to reach as many gamers as possible.
(EDIT: I get the hate...Most people who want this game to come to Xbox don't want the reverse to happen)
@Death "I'm not sure the PS4pro is going to increase sales..."
That is a pretty good theory but let me show you how your wrong with some facts.
If you look at the links below you will find the YEARLY (not hourly, not monthly) Amazon gaming best seller lists for 2016 in the USA & UK. For Amazon USA: The 2nd best selling console for all of 2016(so far)......the PS4 Pro (#2 selling console/#53 overall selling item). For Amazon UK: The 2nd...
@Septic
Are you really surprised that Xbox won with Gears coming out in October & PSVR being sold to people who mostly already owned PS4s? Were you equally as shocked when PS4 won May's NPD (the month Uncharted 4 came out?)
Look, if PS4 didn't win September's NPD they weren't going to win October's (what with Xbox's biggest 2016 game releasing & the fact that PS4 sales were bound to get slower and slower the closer we got ...
The demand is HUGE...And before anybody claims that the supply was extremely limited in the UK, you might want see that the PS4 Pro is already the 54th best selling video game item on AmazonUK (and the 2nd best selling console)...FOR ALL OF 2016!!! (proof: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp... )
EDIT: My info is for the PS4 Pro...NOT the PSVR...Sorry
WTF??? I'm all for an Uncharted 5...BUT... Just because you say "Uncharted 5 Confirmed" doesn't mean it is...Where is your PROOF???
Just because Nolan North would like to make another one & you've got a decent plot made up doesn't mean its confirmed.
I'm sorry to the video creator but you need to change the title of this N4G post from "Uncharted 5 Confirmed" to "Reasons why I think Uncharted 5 is on the wa...
@Neonridr
Your original comment paired with your reply to me make 100% sense. But they're also 100% irrelevant for 2 reasons:
1) This article has nothing to do with North America. Its simply a reflection on how well this product is doing in the UK.
2) As far as you commenting that North America (population over 550 million) has more PS4 Pro units to sell than in UK (population over 65 million), thats true for every single product ...
@Neonridr -- "I guess UK didn't get much in the way of allotment then" -- Your statement is verifiably wrong
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp... If you click the link you will see that the Pro was the #1 console (and #19 overall video game item) for Amazon UK for the whole month of October...Thats not possible if UK didn't get much in the way of PS4 Pro allotment.
@PLASTICA-MAN -- Thanks for the link to that list
On the Ni-Oh subject...I HOPE more PS4 Pro games (and Scorpio games for that matter) have the REZ & FPS options...That would be great
@XanderZane -- "They will make the jump from XBox 360 to Scorpio next year. XBox 360 gamers are waiting for a better XBox system."
We've been hearing "They will make the jump..." when Master Chief, Halo 5 & Gears 4 was released...It hasn't happened with their core franchises. It probably won't happen. That ship has sailed
The study in the article is very interesting. It shows that Americans game on PS4 more than any other non-mobile gaming device. And what is very interesting in this study is that Americans game on Xbox 360 more than Xbox One
@GottaBjimmb -- "There are certainly possible downsides to waiting, but there are upsides too."
I agree. The upside to jumping in early is: getting in on the ground floor & gaining larger marketshare...The downside to jumping in early is: the risk/failure rate is higher
The upside to waiting is: Less risk & less chance of failure...The downside to waiting is: Missing out on the large marketshare
I think that VR is a p...
Its actually free play days and I have a source to back it up: https://twitter.com/NeoGAFN... ...Notice how in the tweet next to Borderlands 2 it says "Free Play Days"
@wolf_khan625 -- "It was down been fixed only recently"
And by only recently you mean its been back up about 4 hours as of the time of my comment (proof: https://twitter.com/AskPS_U... )
The problem with a post like this to N4G is that the original article was 100% correct at the time it was written. But because the article needed to go through ...
The biggest indicator of price (to me) is when Spencer said "high-end consumer". We don't normally hear phrases like "high-end consumer" being paired with affordable tech. That makes me think Scorpio's price will be noticeably higher than XB1S's launch price. My guess is Scorpio's lowest bundle will be between $499 - $599.
