Here's a thought. WHO CARES WHAT ONE PERSON THINKS!? It's still one man's opinion, and it's still an arbitrary score slapped on that opinion. He doesn't like it, he's entitled to it. If you care that much what someone else thinks about something that entertains you, you have more serious issues.
Maybe now some of you will stop harping on Metacritic or similar crap as "facts" about a games quality.
Best is subjective. Review scores are arbitrary, opinions, and not facts. Thus, play what YOU enjoy. Don't let someone else tell you how to game.

You believe wrong. At least where I work, we push it to the last minute to make sure our product is quality. Many devs go up to the wire to keep polishing their product.
If Bungie was prevented by MS from fixing issues for the last 4 - 5 months, that's just terrible any way you slice it.
Wow. I never realized how utterly empty most of the levels are. Still, their MP maps have great design and the visuals are quite crisp.
Umm... it's a prequel, of course Johnson and Truth would be alive. What's the big deal? How is that huge? And they show the gateway to the Ark being unearthed. Big deal.
I take back what I said before...
Bungie is an amazingly great team with great designers and beyond solid gameplay/features. But damn, they can't do boss battles OR endings.

Assassin's Creed, Halo 3, GTA4 I feel. Though AC2, Halo CE, and GTASA look to be/were all great.
I agree Xeno. I think the Halo universe/mythology is great. I just think the games do a poor job of showing it sometimes. Like I said before, Gravemind was utterly robbed of awesomeness in Halo 3.
