Yup. What a tool. He should find a new profession.
But but but... the media is never wrong. They are trustworthy and there is no such thing as bias or conspiracies!
Oh wait, maybe NOW people will see that scores are useless and reviews are but one fool's opinion. You can write a review any way you want depending on your state of mind. If you want a game to suck, you can find reasons for it to "suck." If you want a game to be good, you can find reasons for it to be "good." Listen to your own opinions people. <...
New to the interwebs sir?
Stay away from Gamefaqs FYI. :)
"This is why we cant have people working at KFC advising NASA on how launch the next satellite into space."
Cool. Can't wait until the next NPD then when everyone becomes an armchair analyst!
Wow. You ALL got suckered in by responding to one of the biggest trolls on the site.
Kudos.
Overhyped? Yes.
Overrated? Without a doubt.
A bad game? No.
Am I disappointed? Yes.
Am I having fun online? Yes.
It's CONTROVERSIAL.
God. Learn to spell.
Oh Jim Sterling, pull the phallus out already. It's rather pathetic.
"Wah wah, people don't agree with MY opinion are WRONG."
THIS is journalism? Take a fvcking writing class you tool.
Hypocrites to the end.
*sigh*
More 20 second teasers beginning with 10 seconds of "reserve me at Gamestop?"
Pirate, what do you expect from imbeciles who think Halo invented FPS?
When we put out R&C Mountain Dew, come talk to me. =)
Wah, wah, you mean I have to EARN a mark of achievement? Oh boo hoo.
There were days where, gasp, you had to EARN the right to see the last boss by having actual skill. And now people complain because OPTIONAL challenges are... challenging? What the hell. Considering how many people whine about titles having no replayability, Trophies/Achievements are a blessing in that regard.
The only Trophies I despise are online ones (KZ2's come to mind), those aren't based on my...
I'm not a fan of their changes. Gun damage is WAY too high making gun battles boring and a matter of who sees who first, level design is convoluted to the point of lacking major highways of activity, visuals are subpar, netcode is a joke (no, you didn't actually shoot him first!), the guns are boring and its become a camper's heaven so they focus on killstreaks.
I remember when it was all about being a better shot than your opponent. Those were the true days of FPS. Man I miss U...
Not in a million years, not with their laggy crappy netcode that lies to me and tells me I shot first, yet I then get dropped by a single bullet to the foot. Oh wait, in the replay, the guy was nowhere near where my game showed he was!
Games have genres.
UC2 knows what it wants to be, and does it wonderfully.
....pre-emptive damage control and spin?
Dude get a life, no one's even said anything.
Nothing like Xbots playing the victim on N4G.
Sad.
Dark Knight was way better.
Yes, a game should be fun. On a gameplay level.
But games can also be an experience that pulls at your emotions on different levels. Not every single tiny little second of the experience has to be fun on a thematic level. Hell, I had a ton of FUN with Shadow of the Colossus's gameplay... yet at the same time, I was struck with a feeling of regret for killing these creatures. And yet, it's a game that has stuck with me as an amazing and poignant experience.
Now if you...
Our current review system is arcane and needs to be done away with. Putting a quantifier on something subjective as a review, which is nothing more than opinion, is beyond absurd. Review scores are STUPID. Period. PERIOD. The rise of politics in the "pro sites" coupled with the lack of writing skill in the blogging realm, as well as a consistent lack of standards and show of bias, is mindnumbing.
At the same time, I blame the fanbases for being unable to sift opinion fr...
