Man... it's a pity Okami is such a crappy game because it didn't sell 10 million copies! Why oh why can't I have more fun with it, if only it had sold 10 million copies!
Panda... I don't care what you are a fanboy of, if you're a fanboy you're an idiot. There is a difference between a fan, and a fanboy. Anyways, I won't bash Gabe, it's his choice. However, what I do find amusing is that basically they have shrugged off development on the PS3 without even looking into it. They handed off Orange Box to EA. That coupled with his statements makes him look like a bit of a d!ck. But whatever, I have a PC, and I don't know why anyone would get a Valve game anywhere ...
It's in NC and it's already open dude.
Personally, I dislike this phenomenon. I dont think it accurately represents the final product that the consumer will be playing. The biggest offenders I feel are pretty much 90% of PS2 shots (God of War 2, Kingom Hearts 2 were huge offenders) and anything released by Epic (UT3, Gears franchise). Then again, I shouldn't be singling out anyone as pretty much EVERYONE is doing this, especially sports titles.
But sadly, I dont think this phenom will ever change. That's why I feel d...
Pity. The game felt remarkably balanced between range and melee. I can see this really messing things up sadly.
Then again, gamers today seem to be a bunch of casual wimps for the most part who need their hands held.
No.
That's technically a test kit. They look like production PS3's. A devkit is about the height of a retail PS3, but a good 3 times longer (front to back).
A PS3 devkit looks nothing like that. They are massive beasts.
Am I the only one who doesn't think it's ALL that? I mean it looks good... great even... but best UE game? I think that's pushing it. Especially since most of the best visuals are the cinematics, which are clearly well above the gameplay models (check out the first guard's face you chat with.) The lack of environment interactivity was also majorly jarring for me... I couldn't even knock a coffee cup off a desk!
Still, I think this is gonna be a great game. Can't wait. Mark Hamill...
Actually, you're totally right. Before it was possible to find good convo on here... that's long since gone. Gamers loving games? Now it's just a joke. Good call man. It was silly to think I could get people to appreciate games more than stupidity and think for themselves.
I guess I just shake my head at the thought of people letting OTHERS tell them what they enjoy. Thank you for opening my eyes on how badly I was wasting my time, even when I was bored!
Another trashy day on N4G.
I don't need some arbitrary reviewer OPINION to tell ME what games I enjoy more. I had more fun with Army of Two than Halo 3. GASP OH NOES! Does that make Halo 3 a "worse" game? Nope. It's called an opinion. Start forming your own children, and stop letting the media control what you buy/enjoy.
The PS3 has great games. The 360 has great games. The PS3 just happened to have more that suite my gaming needs/preferences. Does that ma...
Sales don't matter.. yet if they did, many people overlook that GT > Halo.
Still, I can't stand this whole "a game is great based on how much it sells" BS.
DLC in theory is great. In practice, 99% of it is overpriced things that should have already been on the disc.
I'd love to see HD (even filtered like MvC2) ports of the SNES edition (which was the superior edition), AvP, Final Fight, Simpsons, Shadow of Mystara, etc etc
Careful man, that's crazy talk. Game reviews are law. If ONE person says its a 4/10, then it's a flop dude. Don't you know ?!?!
Even "valid points" in most reviews today are a matter of opinion. I find reviews interesting... since I could bring up any number of points of things that COULD have been done better, even in "10/10" games like Gears. (You can that cheap crap a final boss? They COULD have....) It's really up to the individual's discretion, which is why I abhor review scores, as it attempts to quantify a person's unique OPINION.
I really wish "journalists" would do a...
Oh god, this sh1t is so stupid. Win/Lose/Doom articles are so utterly stupid. I don't care who wins, loses, or flaunts their e-peen most... all I care about is there have been great games this year, and there will be more between now and March. Anyone who cares about anything else is a bit of a tool.
I'd have to get some more info about the game before I care about it. All I've seen is them tossing about a new engine and fanboys waggling their e-peens about conjecture.
I'd like to know more about the actual game itself frankly...
Mad props for remembering Psychonauts. One of the funniest games ever man!
