Not necessarily. Look what happened this gen. PS4 and Xbox One on a nearly level playing field in the beginning and PS4 DESTROYED the Xbox One for the most part. It could happen again. Competition is good but the key thing to remember is that it doesn't matter who has the better console on paper, it's who can back up their console with the best feature set and market the reasons WHY we should buy their PS5 over the Xbox Next and vice versa. Seems logicial that 2020 would be that relea...
I know almost nothing up cpu's and such but its really cool to see from when I was young and the Xbox 360 came out, fast forward to today, and hearing about the "nm" sizing of chips and how like every couple of years it was getting thinner and thinner and thinner and now we are at 7nm from like 90nm or whatever it was
What I want to see are those things everyone dreamed of as a kid, just true fully detailed environments and graphics. Games that can handle those levels of detail but also have that detail across the entire broad spectrum of say a massive open world map or in the online component...the little things if you will. For example I want to see a new Battlefield using that tech that really immerses you and is finally near photo realistic, and when you blow something up or kill someone the parts from...
Expect the expected (Forza Horizon) BUT I also believe we should expect the UNEXPECTED, Microsoft absolutely NEEDS to come out swinging at this year's E3. Show us something to believe in, dazzle us with a new IP or finally with some concrete details on Crackdown 3.
Get it done Microsoft. I know you have before...I haven't totally lost faith yet.
If I may add a #9...not directly Microsoft's fault but Halo 5 should have had the online component where you could at least play with your bros all together online like they always have. I seriously think the Xbox One would have sold better knowing I could still invite my friends over like I always had and relive those amazing college days, have some drinks, and just have fun online with 3 other people hanging out next to you while you play competitive online.
That was ...
I WANT MERCENARIES. That game was SO SO SO good. Can you imagine how mad I was when my friends all had Xbox or PS2 and had that game, and then I get the Xbox 360 which had "backwards compatibility" just to be unable to play that game. I am still mad about it all these years later because I LOVED that game and never bought the OG Xbox or PS2
I've always liked Ubisoft as a puublisher, at least they are consistently trying new ideas or IP's. I agree completely. They're solid, maybe the games aren't always perfect but I love the variety.
The story was good back in the day. I doubt I'd buy a remaster or whatever that didn't have the multiplayer aspect though
This. This is good news, especially down the road when I have time to play this game over the summer. I havent bought it yet and I also had the intention of waiting anyways until some of the bugs are brushed up on and fixed.
Well yes and no. I had every intention of preordering this game instead of using Xbox Game Pass but since I have been back to college, purchases for $79-$89-$129CAD Games and deluxe edition games etc are totally out of the question now. Xbox Game Pass allowed me to get Sea of Thieves for dirt cheap. If it's Halo 6 down the line and there's a deluxe edition or something you can bet I will be purchasing that instead of using the pass for it.
It's hard to say but I...
Maybe I'm just still feeling the nostalgia, and Im still super mad my parents threw out a launch N64 when they moved to a new city...but for me the original Smash Bros will always be the best.
If there was a time log on the N64 for that game it would have showed thousands of hours I am sure of it. I used to wake up on weekends and play hours of this game and when I got home from school it was no different. I grew up on this game and even when I "outgrew" the ...
Probably didn't help the people running the ship before Phil Spencer had a higher role really messed up the Xbox One launch, and then when he had a chance to really right the ship he has seemed to have lost his compass suddenly.
I use the term a little loosely as I am not really a "true" one console fanboy type gamer. I grew up on nintendo....was jealous all my friends had Xbox's and Halo and when the 360 came out I had to have it, this gen the Xbox One has been somewhat disappointing...I really thought Phil Spencer would leaad the Xbox One to some glory days but its now 1/4 through 2018 and not a lot has happened while PS4 has been a party the whole way through.
I don't know...I ...
Microsoft really needs a big up and coming game like Detroit: Become Human or you know something to generate the level of buzz and hype surrounding some of Sony's finest. I will admit last gen I was a mega Microsoft fanboy this gen I am leaning PS4 which is hard for me to say because Xbox is so near and dear to my heart....and the good old nostalgia Halo days. haha
Yeah personally I have to admit what a difference this gen. I spend so much time on my PS4 but not much on my xbox One...whereas last gen Xbox 360 was THE place to be it felt like.
While you are not entirely wrong, the elitism here is holy F dude. I have a PS4 and haven't played many of the exclusives because I have no desire to, Sony many have way more exclusives, but I dont think they are killer IPs and be all end all....
No more Resistance games
No more Killzone (WTF I LOVE KILLZONE...and that is why I went PS4 first this gen)
Detroit Become Human looks to be the big one in my eyes. I cant wait for that game. That's the ty...
I haven't seen it yet but you make good points dude. I really think that's why these movies fail half the time it's the half assed changes and not like...honouring the actual game or making it make sense within the setting of the actual game.
I really think movies based on games could be done really well, they just don't get someone attached enough that seems to want to do these adaptations justice.
But ya know, I just really want a Halo ...
I'm an xbox fan and even I would say last year was somewhat disappointing.
They better hope it is bigger and better, at this point it has to be
Which is too bad, I really think games should stay on there for the price. That would make it a world class service if you ask me
