I wouldn't, because it isn't a choice. I (and most "real gamers") will have both without a doubt.

The difference there is that the 360 didn't chew up Hard drive space as fast as the PS3. Back at launch the only thing the hard drive was used for was game saves (which were always small), XBLA games (which were actually restricted to being like 64 MB back then), and DLC.

There were no game installs, so 20GB on a launch 360 went further than 20GB on a PS3.

I'm not saying it was great, but it lasted me quite awhile, until the Xbox marketplace started...

They aren't just talking about specs, though. It's mostly about ease of development.

If you have three platforms that are very similar and can be ported to very easily, then a fourth that is not only the low man on the totem pole in terms of horsepower, but also would involve significant expense to port your game to it, what o you think s going to happen?

The Wii U will get few multiplatform titles is what will happen. Especially if the install base...

The 360 doesn't require AA batteries either, but the option is there if you need it. I've always used the rechargeable battery packs, never once did I put an AA battery in any of my controllers.

I'm not sure what kind of recharging accessories you are talking about for the PS3, I don't follow it as closely since the 360 is my primary console.. If they aren't Sony made I wouldn't buy them anyway, 3rd party accessories are usually junk, in my experienc...

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make, Baka.

Yes, I'd rather have a separate charger like I do now on the 360. I have a few battery packs ready to go at any time. Even with 4 people playing at once I can swap out batteries in a hurry and nobody ever has to be plugged into anything.

If I want to do the same thing with my PS3 I need to have 8 controllers so everyone has a backup, instead of just having extra batteries.

Considering the original Xbox has been off the market for many years, and it was never once called the "Xbox 1" by anyone with two or more brain cells, I'm guessing it shouldn't be too confusing.

Save your energy, Jek, you are wasting your time trying to talk sense into the PS fanboys.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they have to show us at E3.

I have a sneaking feeling the comments around here are going to look a little different that week. lol

I'll take swapping out a new rechargeable battery pack over tethering myself to the console to recharge, any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Boy you ain't kiddin' Raptura.

Unbelievable.

I'm going to laugh my ass off if the PS4 is bigger and everyone loves it. lol

I'm guessing that if you are playing straight from the Hard drive it will check online to make sure you can still play the game, and somebody else hasn't bought your copy and activated it.

And if you are playing offline, you probably need to have the disc in the tray just like the 360 does when playing an installed game.

lol, you people and the "huge" comments... What the hell?

Look at it again. Now look at the controller, and picture it sitting on top of the console.

It is about twice the width of the controller, that's really not very big.

And besides, maybe it's just me, but as long as it fits into your entertainment center, what difference does it make? My surround receiver is way bigger than that thing and it fits just fine.

Yes, but "the pain of switching" is 100% better (to me), than connecting to a cable and playing.

Besides, I'm not even sure this info is correct.

Looking at this picture ~~> http://cdn.arstechnica.net/...

It looks to me like there is still a removable battery pack there. Which is awesome.

What do you think will happen when you push that button? lol

Unless you think it is going to know exactly which clip to pull out and upload, I'm pretty sure you're going to be navigating some sort of interface as well.

Besides, they didn't go into any detail on how it works on the Xbox One. Look at the controller. There are two buttons in the center, they are not labeled "Start" and "Back", like on the 360.

I think a lot of people are going to be surprised come E3 when they show off some of these games.

I have a feeling all of this talk about "no games", and "it's just a DVR", is going to fade away pretty quick.

Don't joke about that... Nobody should be buying a Wii U. lol

Agreed.

I have owned every Xbox and every Playstion, but the position of the left stick alone will continue to make Xbox my primary console for everything but exclusives.

At least until Sony gets with the program and realizes that games haven't used the D-Pad as a primary input method for almost 15 years.

I get that you want to keep your distinctive look, Sony, but it's time to put the left stick in the primary position.

Agreed, the only real plus for me with Backwards Compatibility is freeing up a spot in my entertainment center.

And since I have plenty of room, I'm not too worried about it.

If it becomes an issue in the future, I'll just run all the power cables to old consoles to one compartment so I can swap them easily without getting behind the TV.

I didn't say I "love how it looks". I said I'm not sure why everyone is so worried about how big it is.

Is it fancy looking? No not really. It beats the hell out of the design of the original Xbox 360, though. I was never happy with how it looked until they finally released the slim.

I think it looks fine, though, honestly. It's black, it's shiny, and it will fit in my entertainment center and look nice with all of my other comp...

I fail to see how that is a plus. I never understood the hate for the 360's battery packs.

I can swap out out in the middle of a game and be back in action in a few seconds without having to tether myself to the console to recharge.

Not to mention they last me days at a time, whereas the dualshock battery won't even last one long play session.

I love the look of the new controller, don't get me wrong, the left stick position alon...

15 exclusives in the first year.

Also, they said before the reveal that they were going to talk about the box itself, and save most of the talk about the Games for E3.
