You are talking about MS somehow forcing a company into NOT adding a co-op mode, just because MS doesn't want people to get value for their money.

What reason would they possibly have to NOT want co-op added? At the very least, it would potentially sell more copies of the game, thus making them more money...
They should have just went Digital only, no disc based games at all. That would have validated everything from their online policy to used game restrictions.

Minecraft just isn't my thing. I get why people like it, but I just don't have the creativity to build stuff like that. And I can't stay interested in a game like that for long anyway without a clear goal to give me direction.

There are many ways to achieve this goal, and looking at any two companies you are going to see two different methods, but regardless the end result is that they are trying to make money.
Some might take an approach where they make less profit in the short term in order to appeal to more people and gather a big following in the process, thus making more profit down the road. Others take the "greedy" approach and go...

And that's fine. There are plenty of companies out there that makes products I don't like and would never buy.
It's just the ones that crusade against them and take every opportunity to badmouth their products that I don't understand.
I'll never understand this whole "battery pack" thing being taken as a negative. I like it better than the built in batteries of the DualShock, myself.
Yes, I had to buy separate battery packs, but I get added convenience and they last longer, so I'm happy and I'd say money well spent.
I have a charger that charges two packs at once, when the one I'm using gets low, I swap out and I'm good to go for 50 or 60 more hours.

I thought I was going to love this game and I just don't get it.
I played for a couple hours and it just seems like tedious resource management.

Until Sony puts the left analog stick in the proper location, it will never be better than an Xbox controller. Not even close.
It looks like they addressed a bunch of issues with the DualShock 3, but they seriously need to relocate that left stick.
They are the only game company since the creation of the analog stick that insists on putting the left stick in the lower-inside position instead of the upper position.
I'm sure there are a bunch of achievement junkies, but I bet most people that prefer Xbox do so because of the online service and the controller.
