Loot system was fine the way it was, but let's just go ahead and give the crybabies what they want.
For all we know, one of these "locked off" locations could open up for some sort of special event in a week or two.
There is quite literally no way to know for sure at this point.
If they completed the entire game, then locked off segments just to sell as DLC, then yes, that is bad. But how about we wait and see what happens before we jump the gun?
Reading about it on the net leads me to believe a ton of people are disappointed, but none of them are my friends, for sure.
We all love it and can't quit playing.
The story isn't much to get excited about it, but that is also the part I care about the least.
All I really need for a story is "Aliens over there, shoot them in the face" and that gives me all the motivation I need. lol
The picture he uses as an example of the level 26 strike on the moon is part of the exotic weapon bounty for the Thorn hand cannon.
No conspiracy about that one, it's on the disc, it's just part of a special mission and can't be accessed any other way.
Because the vast majority of PS3 updates didn't add features, just made behind-the-scene tweaks.
And they took a ridiculously long time to download and install, while these all happen while your console is off and you never even notice until you find a new feature or read about it online.
Snapping Friends is awesome.
Messages as well, I love the "text message" look to them, it just plain works because we are all obviously used to that sort of display.
Great new additions, loving it.
Agreed, Mega, I don't understand for the life of me why people think there is anything wrong with the loot system.
I have a group of friends that I play with regularly and none of us have had any problems getting our legendaries and exotics.
The game can't be balanced to please everyone.
The crybaby minority that isn't leveling up fast enough to suit their impatient personalities is getting their way, and it's going to harm the game overall.
You're right, it would be much better if everyone was level 30 with the best gear after 2 weeks so they would all have no reason to play.

Funny, that fake quote of his basically sums up my real feelings towards the game.
I absolutely love it, it's my favorite game of the year, hands down.
I really wish they weren't giving the crying babies what they want by changing this.
The loot system was perfectly fine the way it was.
At least I hope they lower the drop rate to compensate.
Music in this game is so Epic.
Yeah on second thought I'm going to buy it. I will give it to my secondary character, most likely.
I don't like the "fires slower while aiming" thing, personally.
And I don't want to have to go without my Exotic Fusion Rifle.
I have a fully upgraded Shadow Price Legendary Auto Rifle that I got as a drop during a strike, I think I'm going to stick with it.
Oh wow
Agreed.
Love Destiny, have been playing it almost every waking moment for 2 weeks with no sign of stopping.
There are a ton of games I want this holiday season, but they are going to have to wait in line behind Destiny, as I won't be switching to any other game anytime soon.
If there was a choice then everyone would HAVE to play in 3rd person to be competitive.
You can see so much more that way it wouldn't be fair to the first person people.
Maybe it's just me, but why is everyone in such a hurry?
The game has been out two weeks.
If loot drops worked the way everyone seems to think they should, we would all have 3 maxed out characters already.
There aren't any "tips" in this article at all, though.
If they wanted to make a real article about this guy they should have broke down what armor he has, where it comes from, how much light was on it, how many ascendant shards it will require to level it up, etc...
Giving us his gameplay stats tells us nothing.
I've played more hours than him and have twice as many kills and I'm a 28.
I don't even know what this is supposed to mean.
