Because E3 is for the gamers, not the music lovers. It might be a good dancing game but 95% of people watching that probably felt like they flipped to the wrong channel. It was awkward, out of place, and completely unnecessary. If your going to push a dancing game with Kinect why not show everyone how it works really well instead of that shenanigans.

Usher dancing at Microsoft's E3 presser.

If you haven't gotten Dishonored, or Bioshock: Infinite they're worth every penny, I'd recommend them over Halo 4 any day.

Why do we let this fanboyism run rampant? Are we this stubborn we won't even let them show their games? Come on people, give them E3, then make your final decision. Ignoring an entire console from one very poorly communicated reveal is childish. Let em show you what they have at E3, it's the least you could do.

I thought most people would have avoided the Doritos king with a ten foot pole by now. I think I'll go with Rev3, or just watch the Xbox stream to get the games and go, get the PlayStation stuff from Rev3 most likely as well. I'll grab all the details after on N4G.

30K people daily, doesn't even hold a candle to 2, 3, or Reach. That maps might suck completely, but it's the formula they used. A Call of Duty base is doomed to fail. You could easily call me a Halo fanboy back in the day. I played Halo 2, and 3 religiously, Reach was a bit of a drop, but I haven't touched 4 since November (minus DLC achievement boosting). It strays way too far from the formula that made Halo one of the best competitive FPS games made. It's safe to say it'...

reminds me of that article from a few days ago

This guy is the prime example. Dedicated to gamers, only plays one console. What a joke. If you're ignoring all of the competition you really aren't a gamer, you're a fanboy. Now if you can't afford everything that's cool I understand. But you strike me as ...

For the 360. We don't know how Microsoft will change up the Gold subscription this time around.

I hate the idea of DRM, even 24 hour check ins. But we can't help but notice that this figure of yours is bloated. The people that don't want DRM (myself included) are a very vocal group. They would go out of their way to protest, while those who simply don't care about it's implementation simply wouldn't care about a random Kotaku survey. That's the bad part about poles, they're not that good on the internet. The most vocal group always wins, regardless of size.

Maybe he doesn't have a smart TV. My God people he wants to use features, so what. It's not like he said he never wants to play games on it.

Lot's of fun doesn't begin to describe it, my friend. But as much as I want BF4 to succeed EA puts me in a funny position. We'll see by release but I don't want this to be another EA overhaul.

Shame, BFBC2 had a fantastic multiplayer, compared to battlefield 3 I'd say it was much better. Except for vehicle combat, of course.

People are cringing to see if Microsoft is going to make it or break it. The Sony conference is least in my mind, I know I'll enjoy it, and I know they'll do fine. Microsoft is in a very awkward position. We all want to see what's going to happen. They said E3 is all for the games, I hope they save a sliver of time to tell everyone DRM is being flushed down the toilet as well.

As far as the internet connection goes, it's pretty murky at this point. Microsoft PR can't get it's own crap together and make everyone say the same thing. The used games fee was debunked, and clarified by Xbox support staff on Twitter. The accounts credulity was in question but was later proved legitimate by other Microsoft employees on Twitter. That being good news we still have the biggest issue being DRM. Microsoft hasn't been very clear, let alone final about their plans...

It is an easy thing to do when Microsoft has billions to throw at it.

OT: Nice picture, absolutely fallen in love with that show. Drives me mental waiting for another episode every week.

Having them for anything but games would be worse than the ones we have. Achievements are cool and all but the past few years they've been bland. We see cool ones like "clean hands" in Dishonored where you go through the entire campaign without any kills. But most games it's just "play game on hard, collect all of the useless crap, do this extremely unnecessary unrewarding Easter egg, beat our game with bad AI without dying, play our tacked on MP for an absurd amount o...

Plays games doesn't it? Just because it does other things doesn't mean it's not a gaming console. Less of one? Sure that's your own prerogative to think like that. But facts are facts, it plays games, it's a gaming console, with a bunch of other crap coming along with it. Don't be ignorant, it doesn't help you or anyone else.

We're a stones throw away from E3, what else did you want? Teasers of nothing? Why show off all the games and ruin all of the surprises for E3. Chances are if they showed a bunch of games we would have had recycled trailers at E3.

Short version, Gaikai. Sony has already promised legacy support through other venues such as Gaikai. So you're wrong there. The PS3's outrageous price was due to it's prohibitively expensive Blu-Ray drive, and custom Cell processing chip. So you're wrong again.

Now that the gaming market has expanded hugely this generation the amount of people keeping games and wanting them playable on the next console will be bigger than it was. Emulation wouldn't be expens...
