I disagree, I think it's pretty smart. First off, if you really wanted a PS3 you will find it cheap, after all there is the internet to find deals. Dell has been offering the PS3 for 320 a long time now.
Take some marketing classes, and you will see why what Sony did is smart.

If you are blind to the bias in many of the Gamestop store, then you need to take off your fanboy goggles. I've seen Gamestop employees spreading FUD about PS3 to customers in many different Gamestop stores. The bias is real.
I'm not surprise if that's the case. Many of the Gamestops I've been to have been sailing under Microsoft's flag. I only know 1 or 2 gamestops out of 8 or 9 that has at least one employee who isn't bias against the PS3. It has improved over the last 2 years but too many Gamestops are still way too bias.

Same here, my hands rarely sweat excessively. But, my brother and some of my friends, when they play with my PS3, my controller can get very disgusting. So, I usually end up cleaning it after they leave.

Yeah, basically all big e-tailers are force to charge NY tax. Obviously that didn't go too well with Amazon and Newegg since a huge amount of customers are from NY. Anyway, they try to fight it in court but was shot down. Newegg was losing way too much business from NY, so Newegg decided to cover the tax on themselves.

No, it varies within NY. Buffalo is about 8.75% while NYC is about 8.375%. So I hate buying stuff from Buffalo due to higher tax.
Really? I didn't know other states didn't have to pay tax on PSN dlc. I've been paying taxes on PSN for as far as I can remember and thought that was normal. =/ Guess I was wrong. Sucks to pay taxes on Amazon. I preorder KZ2 for $52, after taxes, it's $57. Now if I had pay 60, it would have been almost 66-67.
Nothing beats the price of free unless you're getting paid to get it.
This governor is terrible, all he has done is tax everything he can and cut everything important like eduction and healthcare. My tuition went up like crazy and will continue to go up because of this d**che bag. It's bad enough games cost $60 and getting tax on amazon.

Even if they can't legally do that, they can legally blacklist these people. I've seen companies do that and have heard stories about how some people are blacklisted in working for big companies.
Blacklisting. That's something you don't want to happen.
It happens a lot to whistle blowers and it can easily happen to these former employee. Another company will be skeptical about hiring those ex-employees who kept the money, since any company can make a mistake, and wouldn't want these same people to keep those money.
Microsoft can easily blacklist these ex-employee if they do not return the money. Especially in bad times like these, you wouldn't want to be black listed.

PSN uses dedicated servers not P2P. The only game I know that uses P2P is GT5:P.
