In my opinion, it's not a big deal if exclusive goes onto other platform as long as going multiplatform was not part of the development, if it is don't mention it and at least wait long enough that people won't think much of it.

Exactly, Wii get shafted from DLC but you don't see Nintendo coming up with a policy to stop a game from gracing onto their system because their console can't handle DLC. Then having all developer stop developing DLC just so they can also get their hand on the Wii market.
