Very nice!
It is good after all these false rumors, that at least one beta invite is not a joke ;-)
I like the extra "pants" challenge too. Some of the comments are really funny :-D
Looks promising. It might even be worth it to try the game soon :-)
I though about replaying SC1, as I had almost forgotten it... but now it seems like I shouldn't. It will probably be better to just forget the original acting =/
However, I don't see this as a huge setback and hope that the new acting will be good and fitting.
I'd love to go through some SC2 coverage about the event, so I'll just hope that some of those that goes there will share their finds :-P
Final stretch sounds good, but I wonder for how long they will stay in it though.. =/
But the info about shield recharge was interesting ^^
Cool, this was exiting news! :-)
I just wonder what will happen with WoW when they do release this new gigant on the playground..
Interesting read,
and it was nice of you to offer to host his site :-)
A well written article :-)
These are the five mentioned features of the new editor that I think will give the best advantage over the WC3 editor (when only talking about game play):
• A third custom resource is added to StarCraft II that can be used by mapmakers.
• Custom races are fully supported, including the ability to choose them from the game lobby while playing melee maps (as long as the mod defining the race is loaded).
• Create your own abilities, inclu...
I like how the Xel'Naga artifacts and Zealot charge ability work. Those abilities will be very fun to play around with when making custom maps.
The different death animations will be cool too, I wonder if the editor tags the damage of for instance Hellions as "fire" and by that knows what death animations to use for its kills.
I'm against it, I want to play a game on equal terms, not the-one-(who is stupid enough)-to-pay-most-cash wins.
The worst thing is the constant ingame spam about it, though. If you buy gold you at least run the risk of being banned, and that will scare most people away... at least if they actually try to investigate these individuals. But since they are so poor at stopping the spam, they probably suck at that too.
And yes, banning people means less income, but I think that ...
Both the new and old models look good. I really hope that we will be able to access all the versions in the editor.
The industrial complex, the corruptor and heaven's devils' logo looks awesome.
The infestors looks rather silly though... and I also don't get how they can contain so much puke. It looks like they should go "out-of-ammo" in just a couple of seconds.
Both the map art and the units are fantastic. The thing I am most worried about is the amount of units compared to WC3 (including the "neutral - hostile" ones).
That was one of the many things that made the editor so cool.
But as I said, the graphics are wonderful! Sad that I will have to turn them down on my computer though... =/
Unlikely that they will release in Q1. I guess beta will be late Q1 to early Q2 and release late Q2 to early Q3.
They could always do a "buy the beta, and get the game for free" or something like that, as they did with the release of WoW.
This could mean anything, I don't think there will be any progress on Ghost for a while.
I like the runes. Everything that makes your character more unique is good.
I do hope that they manage to invent a few more types though ^^
The Wizard seamed like a nice addition.
I guess the next one will be brand new to the Diablo universe then.. sounds exiting :-)
Although I always think Blizzard are a bit bad at creating enough/new classes. Four years of WoW and they have come up with one new class... that is a big fail in my eyes.
I like transcripts more then watching videos. Then you can reread interesting parts and skip stuff you aren't interested in reading about.
I'm not too happy about this. The map community will be slip up in parts, where people will end up owning different sets of the game and in not be able to play on all maps, with all their friends, etc.
I would only see this as a good way to scare away a lot of custom mappers and a lot of players from custom maps.
However if this is not the case and players will be able to play with one another regardless of owned expansions, I would instead be happy about this game split.
Cool,
It is good to know that they at least have implemented some of the beta stuff.
