Good Article,
the games most promising feature is however that it is free. The interface is quite awful to interact with and HoN looks more promising :/
Out of those choices, I'll pick SC2.
Although its been my most anticipated game for 2007 and 2008 too.. :/
I agree that it is strange that "killing" has a lower age rating then "nudity".
It is a sick world we are living in..
A good summary. This expansion looks a lot like the Burning Crusade one. Except flying mounts in Outland was perhaps "bigger" news at that time.
I still think something big and new is missing from Cataclysm.. it is mostly stuff that has been done before in new shapes.
Yeah, switching factions are bigger then switching race (since you actually need to switch race to be able to do that).
I only miss some in-game gadget to change more than your hair. Like an enginnering thingy that lets you change skin tone, etc.
Ah, that is some cool news indeed!
I though that most of the reason for the monthly subscriptions were for servers and customer service.
(And in WoW's case also in order to make lots and lots of money)
I do however not see Blizzard following in such foot-steps until the server population REALLY starts to decline and only a very small amount of Support/Technical staff is needed to keep things running.
I agree with Maticus though. Unless you are a giant, it...
Probably a balance issue since the game server launch is new? Just like you cant move high level chars into newly started WoW-servers. It could also be some technical database issues with lots of pointer problems that they simply don't have the time to fix at the moment.
My guess is that if you wait, you might be allowed to move with your gear later on (but not along with houses and such).
Yeah, even tough I never played on any private server, it is easy to see that there are plenty of nothingness here and there :/
I would still like the old world to receive some love tough. Just add and change a couple of areas.
They did also change major things before, like during the Ahn'Qiraj release.
Well, they need to send out these kind of mails at some time I guess, so it could as well be now.
I would say Metzen's comment is far more revealing then the blue post.. :P
Pretty good name on him too, as nuclear bombs are measured in megaton, and "gigaton" implies he is 1000 times more potent then that ;)
Cool idea.
As long you don't have to hold your hand in any strange way for it to work, I think it could be really useful.
It looks kind of warm though, like it would get all sticky by sweat fast :/
Definitively an improvement! Although I still like the Alliance version more... >.<
Good that they at least think it will be ready then.
Considering how secretive Blizzard is with information, they wouldn't say anything unless they felt that Q4 was a reasonable target.
Wow, that is pure chaos! ^^
Looks kind of fun tough. I always liked the air/water combat in Battlefield so.
Cool! If it is done right, it will add an extra dimension to the game. Just hope for a good vehicle engine, and that potential lag won't ruin the experience :)
"It works with any game that uses the Nunchuk stick for character control" (copy paste from the article)
So the good thing would be that it is very compatible, the "down-side" is that you probably won't need it ^^
But most of the accessories are like this anyway, like the steering wheel and the pistol grip. They can enhance the game, but you don't need them.
I liked it, it was fast with lots of territorial changes,
but those Hunter Seeker missiles looked a bit overpowered :)
I agree, the map design looks very good.
However with just one cliff up to each players main base, and that is a cliff you easily can cover visually... I don't think Reapers and the like will see much action on this map :-/
At least it's a good sign that they are working on it :)
