I don't really like it, or I perhaps don't get it.
I like WoW without a subscription, that will probably get me hooked again, but if that means a monthly fee for Battlenet, I would not start again.
If a monthly fee for battlenet was forced upon me, I would probably neither play Diablo III or Starcraft II, as my friends wouldn't subscribe.

Well, at first I liked the idea of this real id thing, but I have found that there are many drawbacks. People can know if you are a celebrity, your gender, racial ethnicity, etc.
Like 'that girl seams hot', I'll better look her up IRL (It's already like this for your friends WoW if I understand it correctly?). If you have a uncommon name, people can look you up even more easily.
There is also the aspect that people that plays games WANT's to be ano...

The only thing I see, would be that it can reveal ethnicity, and might therefore be misused by racists, etc. But again real id + banning of accounts, should stop that.
Edit: It could be a problem for more or less famous persons though. For those that when you see their name, you instantly known who they are.
I actually think this will be a nice feature. Your real name doesn't mean that much, and if it reduces trolling, why not?
I'm a bit split over this..
Great for those that want a Collectors Edition and didn't get one.
However, if Blizzard say that only X copies are going to be made, and use that as a selling argument, its a bit cheap of them to revert it. Most things has a higher value just because they are rare.
Its like saying "there will only be 6500 copies of Frostmourne for sale", buy one or forever be without one.. and then later on reverting that statement...
