This is my most anticipated project from MS, fingers crossed for Fable.
Same, it took 7 years for a tease. And it’s still at least 5 more years away, but goddamn it was cool just to see it.
Don’t forget Rage 2. But FO76, Starfield, and a new ES? My face might literally melt, but that is a pipe dream sir.
That certainly didn’t feel like the end of that story. And with how the game concluded, I think that’s an excellent idea to keep an eye on.
I’m not getting my hopes up on this one. Would be a massive announcement though.
I’m not saying that the hype around cloud tech wasn’t the main thrust behind CD3’s promotion, and obviously the idea that a game could level the playing field with Sony was exciting for MS gamers. I was replying to the op, and maybe I misunderstood his/her comment but I read something to the effect of “why was it hyped outside of the power?” The op then asserted that it was by frauds who didn’t care about the first two games. I thought that was odd because I would think people who were excite...
I was just saying I was excited for a Crackdown sequel, secret sauce or not. Because I enjoyed the original. Was that not the question? Why was it hyped outside of the cloud power bs? Fans of the franchise were excited, I’m sure I wasn’t the only fan of the series.
Also a lack of substantial exclusives from MS elevated it’s profile. Not sure what people are disagreeing with.
If by power you mean all the “power of the cloud” hype, the original was still a cult classic, and the series still had untapped potential despite a disappointing 2nd game. Add in the dearth of first party content from MS, and anticipation for a new Crackdown was elevated.
I haven’t seen any marketing for it unfortunately. Honestly the only reason I found about Onrush was googling a potential MotorStorm sequel. Definitely enjoyed the beta, hopefully it finds an audience.
On the plus side we’re getting a new FO game, and the next ES will likely be built on a new engine.
The 300 developer number was in reference to the new studios they’ve acquired, as in total between the 3. And like I said there’s no way they’re working on more than 2 new AAA games with this FO76 being one of them. I expect Starfield to be the other title as well(where the Maryland studio is focused), but after the comments made by BGS not wanting to constantly swap between ES, FO, ES, FO etc I’m just a little annoyed that we’re already getting a new FO game when we won’t be getting a new ES...
Now that is flawless logic. Access to great games you may not have played otherwise free of charge is bad...
Oh man you’re not gonna like the constant discounts on games, movies, tv etc
BGS only really started expanding when developing FO4(developed with just a little over 100 developers) and that was for the mobile game FO shelter. Since then yes, they’ve acquired significantly more talent and I believe have just over 300 developers in total. Considering FO4 launched in 2015 and they’ve only recently been accruing additional talent there’s no way they are working on more than 2 AAA titles and obviously FO76 is one of them. The ES is the series that made BGS what it is today...
@Ziv I hope you’re right man, BGS has been burning through the good faith of their fans. 7 years no new ES(will likely be 10+), creation club bs, and an abundance of FO4 mistakes. Now it looks like we’re getting a FO mp spinoff in the same old ass engine? BE3 needs to deliver, fingers crossed man.
Exactly, Quantic Dream games have always been greeted with a polarized reception. If you’ve enjoyed previous QD titles, odds are you’ll enjoy Detroit BH.
Great franchise, hopefully we get an InFamous sequel at some point but Ghost of Tsushima does looks amazing. No doubt it’ll end up on a list like this too
I thought it was really odd at first too, but I do enjoy using twitch to check out games I’m on the fence about. Live gameplay and reactions give an authentic feel for what to expect in the game, and you can ask questions to the streamers and viewers about the game.
Agreed, GoW is an absolute masterpiece, and RDR2 should be outstanding as well. It would be a shame if any gamer missed out on either game.
If RDR2 can recapture what made the original so great these two could be competing for game of the generation let alone goty.
If GoW is a 7.5, Zelda is a 6. GoW is a true epic, with an unparalleled sense of scale. Zelda is a solid game but my god is it bland. No enemy variety, empty world, tedious weapon damage, simplistic combat, generic dungeons over and over, boring story, bad voice acting, etc... But it totally let you go wherever you want 10/10
Hey man you called it! They didn’t show any gameplay for Doom 2, Starfield, or ES6 so my face is still intact. But I was shocked Bethesda announced projects so far off, good call sir.
