You are right. But MGSV has more depth to its gameplay than Witcher 3. There are just too many ways to finish a mission in MGSV.
But all in all. Witcher 3 is just a better game. Better graphics, better quest system, more interesting characters and much much much better soundtrack.
IGN is never reliable in these comparisons. In their MGSV comparison PC looks worse than PS4, but when Konami compared the versions PC looks miles better. I bet IGN PC settings are on default.

PC. There are plenty of games and a very diverse library. Why would I get a console, when I don't even have time to finish all the PC exclusives and multiplats?

Warner Bros and Rocksteady screwed up really bad and released a fix too late, and by the reports it's not even great patch for many people.

Why is the enemy shooting every person lying down, but not Ahab and Ishmail when they are lying down playing dead? Why do the enemy never check under bed. Too many explosions that do nothing to them but kills the enemy. Giant flaming whale eating helicopter? The driving sequence is ridiculous.
I watched Summit play through this game today in his 24h stream. And it was good fun. Sam and Jessica... damn those are some fine video game ladies.

You know that "franchise" mean a series of games, right? How do you know that those games you listed will be franchises and not single titles?
4 was the worst dude. Act 1 and 2 were great. But Act 3, 4 and 5 trash. Had basically no gameplay. It was linear, forced and tons of cutscenes. And the bosses were trash.

I play MGSV now. And it's good, but nowhere near Witcher 3.
How can you have "too much gameplay".
It's not like you have to explore everything and do everything. You play for as long as you want. Nobody is forcing you to play 400+ hours. But the option IS there. Isn't that a good thing?
His games have a tendency to have too much filler cutscenes/dialogue, while also being super slow paced.
Counter-Strike is the kind of game that is both very fun to watch and play. Krimz played insanely good this tournament, and carried Fnatic on his backpack many times.

Cod and Battlefield do not need a good story. Those are primarly multiplayer games with long lenght value.
What a lame and consolized list. Where are TRUE masterpieces like StarCraft 2, Counter-Strike GO and Dota 2? You know games people play daily since forever and never grow tired of them. It's more important to include bunch o short and forgettable games i guess.

The biggest statement i hear from people that did not enjoy Witcher 3 is that it is "boring". "Boring" is not an arguement. If you find a game boring, does not mean the game is at fault. It could mean you have low attention span, and can't keep up with the story. It could mean you don't enjoy slow-paced games. Does not mean the game is bad.
