They hail it as one of the best games of all time. They overreact and get offended easily if you critize it and point out the flaws in the game.
Let's be honest, it's a great indie game. But nothing more than that. It does not break the fourth wall that many of the fanboys say, and it for sure is not one the greatest games of all time.

Games that dissapointed: Fallout 4, MGSV(mixed feelings), Halo 5, The Order 1886, Arkham Knight.
Games that delivered: Witcher 3, Pillars of Eternity, Mario Maker, Forza 6, Bloodborne, Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Games that surprised: Life if Strange, Rocket League, Ori, Undertale.
Are you kidding me? You may not like Witcher and Witcher 2, but they are great games. There is a reason for Witcher 1 & 2 getting good reviews and decent sales. Not to mention a huge fanbase.
A huge problem with this game is that the story is so uninteresting, and the quests are so bland and soulless.
If you have played Witcher 3 and Pillars of Eternity this year, you would know that the quests and story in Fallout 4 is mediocre at best.
Mentioning Fallout 4 as GOTY is insulting and disrespectful to Witcher 3 and CD Project Red. Which is a much better game in pretty much every way.
Fallout 4 is basically Fallout 3, with better gunplay and downgraded RPG elements. It's a dissapointment considering the huge hype. Still a decent game though all things considered.

Yeah, good luck with that. Fallout 4 can only be beaten by shooting your way through. This is not Fallout 1 or 2 we are talking about, but Fallout 4 made by Bethesda. The game relies too much on gunplay. Keep telling yourself that in Fallout 4 you can be all this sort of things, when in reality you can only blast your way through. You can't sneak and you for sure can't talk your way thr...
Why it does not deserve a perfect score:
-Story is uninteresting and rushed. You don't have time to feel attached to any characters, because the story is progressing so fast, especially in the beginning.
-The HUD is bad and takes up to much space on screen.
-The gunplay gets tedious, because in many quests you have to shoot your way out of 100000 raiders or gunners. Why not have fewer enemies with better AI instead?

This score seems fair. This game does not deserve anything better. Looks outdated, and bring nothing new to gaming. Bethesda played it really safe, and that's fine. It's a decent game, but not a masterpiece it was hyped up to be.
Rocket league is my most played game this year, but Witcher 3 and Life is Strange were amazing experiences. So for me it is between Life is Strange and Witcher 3.
Honorable mentions goes to SOMA, Undertale, MGSV and Pillars of Eternity.
TLOU, God of War 3 and Uncharted series can all be played on a cheap PS3, therefore they are not PS4 exclusives.
Tearaway is on PS Vita. The Order 1886, Knack, DriveClub, Killzone Shadowfall have all under 75 on metacritic. Not particulary impressive.
That leaves you with LBP3, Infamous and Bloodborne. Which all range from OK to very good.

Life is Strange is my favorite game of all time, and the main characters are girls. Do I care about that? NO. LiS is one of the most touching games I have played.
