EA knows best, right?
Just yield.
Like everything silicon, it gets created and binned into performance baskets.
For example the Intel Xeon, i7 and i5 are identical in every way, if it doesn't pass the various levels of tests then it gets downgraded until it passes another subset of tests and just bits like hyperthreading and chunks of cache get fused off and hardware locked.
Well considering that the extra processing power of that processor cant handle standby downloading I don't really hold much capability for it.
Great investigation Poirot...
Trolls on the internet? Who would have thought it.
Oh look, Dedicatedtogamers making condescending statements again...
"Having multiple RRoDs was seen as a badge of honor. And if you gave up the 360 for a PS3"
Did you study at the school of Daniel Day Lewis?
Talk about overacting.
I played, Aliens: Colonial Marines at 2560x1600...
Need I say more?
The same Gamesradar owned by Future Plc?
More than you think, but less than people make out.
Please... Let's not have another generation of claiming that x game is using 100% power, then a year later saying it only used 50% and then saying x console has 'untapped' power...
PC and Vita version is all I need!
Wash your mouth out!
But didn't people think the same with the PS3 when it first launched though?
Don't worry there is always PC to compete with.
What about the console police in general who said 6 months ago to the PC guys that resolution and FPS doesn't matter?

"Also, every company that makes hardware has teams of engineers. Few create things that are as well designed as the insides of the PS4. I can see some incredible skill in the engineering of the innards of the PS4, but there were also some excellent choices and adjustments in strategy from management that deserve some credit."
Really? do you believe that a company could afford to keep 1000+ of every type of engineer, programmer and designer under...
Sony is just a brand name, it's the engineers who did the work.
@karl
It's clear that you know nothing about electronics nor PCB design... How can you even chip in a statement like that?
If you dance with the devil, the devil don't change. The devil changes you.
Skype to Skype calls are free, Skype to landline & mobile calls are not free
Yada, yada, yada.
I think the general consensus on all of the forums and comments within articles which have the discussion of the PS4 bricking is that there isn't a real problem(potentially... sorry my crystal ball is out of action) but with my engineering cap on, all electronic devices have so many accurate testing principles that a bad batch is almost non existent.
The RROD is sort of an isolated incident... A lot of testing goes into solder about 100x...
