Thats your problem. Don't judge a game by its graphics. Socom was termed So-crack and even til this day the online gameplay can't be beat. It was the best online game for the PS2 of its time.

I completely agree with you about the Nintendo games.
The XMB interface is probably the best looking and easiest to use GUI out there. It has some class to it - luxury sort of.
BTW didn't we already see Phil Harrison demo an Ericsson phone with XMB and Home connectivity? That pretty much confirms it.

Directors mode in GTAIV would be sweet! Good thinking. I would reenact scenes in the GTA world and use movie trailers or clips as voiceovers. lol

Socom was never about graphics dude. In fact this is a pretty good leap from the PS2 versions.
He couldn't sell it on eBay anyway, he's only 11. But damn you just made me feel really old mentioning the word uncle. I just turned 21. :)

Yep, a spare. My HD tv's are already hooked up to my 60gig PS3's. I don't have anymore tv's to make use of my 40gig so I just keep it aside as a backup or for experimental usage. It was originally intended as a gift for my nephew but he changed his mind and wanted an iPhone instead.

India are pretty up-to-date with current technology these days. I've been there for 2 weeks to attend a seminar. I'm sure the PS2 still sells there because it is a good bang for the buck for casual and new gamers.
