Thank you, I was just about to comment that you cant just make claims like that and present pixelporridge as a proof.

These are much better.

Yeah I was first against making it open world and Im still a bit reserved when it comes to my excitement. It can either make the game a bit loose and at time boring or be the best thing ever (considering Mirrors Edges game mechanics)

Sounds good.

Means that it gives you direction and makes you familiar with new stuff (or the gameplay elements for first timers) and not be completely overwhelmed in the begining.

Also a good transistioning phase for those who didntat first like the idea of making new Mirrors Edge open world.

@The reply to me.

The thing is, framerate does not correlate to studio size most of the time. If the developers tie the game physics to framerate and lock it or just design the game with the basic idea of locking it to 30, its poor game design and should be brought up unless they have a really special reason to do so (animated game, turn base etc. He didnt bother with it too much in his last video because it was turn based.).

This used to be the case with gam...

I think he is not saying that the game is rubbish because its not 60 FPS. First and foremost, he has said that he's now so used to high framerates that he cant play at sub 60 anymore (which I think is sad but thats his point which I can understand.)

The second reason why he complains about it so much is usually either because the game runs horribly (poorly optimized) or because the developer has introduced a 30 FPS hard lock which is completely ass backwards for PC gaming...

Framerate Police is brilliant, I started following it just because I wanted to give my support to make it bigger. I dont use Steam enough to benefit from this but its good to see Framerate Police is getting bigger.

I hadnt even realized that FRP being a curator could be a negative but as the article pointed out, its one less curator slot for the developers. Im still all for it because on the long run, it probably does more good than bad and catches those off guard that wouldn...

I find the difference quite noticeable. If I had to guess, they are probably running on the UC4 engine instead of the original game engines. Has the same type of visual vibe.

Though cant say for sure, I only ever played the original and people said that the UC2 footage is poor quality (I also remember some footage loooking better)

It might look more cinematic but will also add a hefty amount of input latency.

60FPS is really only a big issue on PCs with the mouse and all (as the latency with mouse is much more distracting). I also get why you would say that because sometimes people are nearly scared of by super smooth gameplay.

I Showed Metro Redux to my friend and he was like "okay, too smooth" because they had probably V-synced it at 60FPS + the game isnt a fast paced one w...

That can probably be blamed for Akira forgetting alot of things. At least thats what I have heard.

He even forgot some things during the Z series.

I have only seen the Battle of Gods movie and thought it was okay (funny and enjoyable but didnt really offer enough good fighting).

Well, at least the commercial was funny and strange enough.

3868d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Could actually look funny if you were slingshotting realistic birds at realistic pigs like in the teaser.

Nah, I dont even remember what is the last time I played angry birds. They look nice and all but the gameplay is very mediocre IMO. I prefer the older catapult/crush the castle games because they felt better.

Bad Piggies was pretty decent though... Even then didnt they ape games like Coconut Run and such?

No it wouldnt, you can go search some emulator gameplay with high resolution.

3869d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

No, the remaster is exactly just bumping up the resolution, detail and performance of the original assets and game, check NeverHeavyMan's comment because it explains everything very straightforwardly.

I prefer PS3 one, dat ass.

Also

WTF, this is a game? What is it even about?

3869d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

As a TV ad it would probably be way too confusing but I would love to see they do some sort of youtube ad or during game conference ad that reminded us of the old ads.

Just as a little nudge at the past.

Even though Crash 3 was the first PS1 game I ever owned its still not my favourite game, not probably in the top 5.

Though it still gives me those super nostalgic shivers and flashbacks when I go back and play it. Its a good game.

It wasnt until Spyro 2 (which was my second game and might just be in my top 5) that I was really amazed about games or the one that really hit me... Tombi 2 that became my favourite (third game I had).

That said, ...

Well of course they are grainy because most of them run at like 256i reslution. If that bothers too much, you can just setup an emulator on your laptop (or basicly any PC), plug a controller in and get a cheap DVI/HDMI cable (figure out a way to output audio to speakers/TV) then choose the resolution that you prefer. I dont think that some PS1 emus even require a bios file anymore so all you need are the game discs for it to be completely legal and hassel free.

PS2 games also...

Yeah throwing away is waste. I can laugh when some people say they threw their games aways and cant play their childhood classics anymore when I still have all my games. Though some of my PS1 cases were lost or have missing manuals because I stored all my discs to one big spyro themed disc case thingy.

I still even buy old games quite often, most of the time those that I remember playing somewhere but never owned or games that I have heard about but never had a chance to play...

It looks bad but saying that this is PS2/OGXB level is really stretching it. Like looking at that gen with dirty nostalgia glasses.

No, mascots are pretty much dead and I cant see how Alloy would be something special that would grant her a mascot status. I mean, if Nathan hasnt received the mascot status, whats special enough to make Alloy qualify?

Besides the game hasnt even released yet. Too early to make calls like this.

Edit.
It appears that some people actually think Nathan Drake is a mascot. He's not, and its okay if you do think he is but then if we put the old mascots ...
