Unreal engine was awesome a few years ago. I'm personally tired of Epics proprietary engine. I still think Gears looks great, and I'm excited as hell for it, but honestly it's time to move on. To put it in perspective it's like someone holding up a picture of Pam Anderson and saying, "Oh c'mon how can you not thing this is hot?", compared to someone who prefers say a natural beauty like Jennifer Connelly. Well you know if you like big cheesy plasticyness...
If I saw the game on the Xbox-360 I would say the same, this is not a Xbox-360 V PS3 comment, I just think the screens are horrible. On the subject of Xbox-360 and PS3 I do however fail to see how PS3 owners who are impressed with the RFOM2 screens are not impressed with these?

the gameplay may rock but the graphics are very last gen.
Gears 2 blows this out of the water, are this supposed to be impressive? what exactly are MS supposed to be watching and learning?

not all games can be complex, my kids just like the ability to fly in a virtual world in a metal suit.
Please don't call me a F**boy, all I am stating is fact, fact: you cannot have more than one account on PS3 online playing MGSO unless you pay for it, so no PSN is not free for all whether it be in MGSO or possibly with other titles in the future.
Sony need to invest in Dev tools, not just any old Dev tools but ones along the lines of MS Xbox-360 Dev tools, I don't buy the lazy ports rubbish, obviously the PS3 is just hard to development for, yes games like COD4 and Uncharted contradict this statement but maybe some are just better than others, it does not pay dividends to deliberatly spoil a game with a lazy port.

but now I am glad that Sony cannot do the same to MS, at least the PS3 will survive, but it is not removing the Xbox-360 anytime soon so yeah I disagree with your perception of what is basically good competition, if MS did not turn up on the scene I doubt the PS3 online service would be any good at all, it took the dreamcast to start it and Xbox-live to revine it, so why exactly are you complaining?
by such great news, Star Ocean looks brilliant, sounds like jelousy to me.
the Xbox-360 has had hardware issues, I am on my 2nd not including my upgrade to the HDMI model which I did because it made sense and less noise lol, but hardware issues aside can anyone honestly say MS has not delivered? it is not that the PS3 is not a great console, it just seems to me MS have basically worked harder to deliver a great gaming expierience, Kudos to Sony for investing in new Tec, but on the other hand Kudos to MS for giving us Xbox-live.

you will love this game, I can see these are low definition scans but can also see that it looks just as good as the Xbox-360 version. Enjoy!
