Well, PC gaming is actually the same cost or cheaper in the long run.. so there's that option.. Unless you really love console exclusives ;)
2nd fiddle to Nintendo.
VITA's gonna take some pretty huge potential hit if it doesn't play well together with PS4.. unless Sony has some other great ideas for the VITA later on.
This sounds a little dumb but for some reason, I think the PSV will feel more like a PS3 after PS4 release.
You don't have to touch a fire to know it's hot.
People who have done enough research of the VITA can STILL GIVE valid points and opinions even if they don't actually own one.
I hope for it's success.. Wish they'd put tons of RPG elements and replay value on it.
KZM - seriously, the "Mercenary" has a very bad ring to it. I don't want another Unit 13 (no story) or CODBOD (crap campaign).
Not to mention the lack of shown cinematic in game renders (aka low budget).
If they're sticking with Unit 13/CODBOD campaign, they'd better bring their A game for multi player and beat Modern Combat 4 ...
For a more core mobile gaming market.. w/c is pretty small.
It can seriously destroy the market if only they made better and more software for it.. it has 3G, might has well make it a real phone for a reasonable price (look and stare at the Nexus 4) .. Xperia isn't doing too well against the competition.
Far better only in terms of gaming.. and core gaming on the go isn't really what the mass market wants right now.. or at least at the price it's ...
Similar to what the Wii offered?
Hope it's not another Unit 13 (no story) nor another CoDBOP (crap campaign).
The "Mercenary" name is full of bad vibes.. it sounds like a Unit 13/CoDBOD
..and no cinematic in game scenes have been shown.. :'(
Reeks of low budget.
I hope KZM kicks my ass and proves me wrong.. but it just doesn't look good (past the graphics in a corridor)
Devs like to put more geometry and other effects. I bet we're still heading to 1280x720 land @ 30 fps but a good trade off for games that would look more amazing.
I bet 1080p@60 FPS is more likely to be reserved for "PS3 Classics".
I think it's already proven that "simpler" games have been better for on the go devices where you don't have to put too much reflex and similar effort.. easy to pick up then drop..
My only beef with VITA-heavy-3D complex are load times. GR, UCGA, ACL and specially Wipeout.. ugh..
What makes the 3DS great is the mass appeal.. Mario, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, Disney Princesses and Gordon Ramsey games :P
+ emulators = more win
Handheld games have become much more accessible.
So true.
Sales says software to pricing ratio isn't as good as Nintendo's.
It doesn't have a new MH, Mario, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Disney Princesses and Gordon Ramsey games (lol).
And?
Duh.. So is the 3DS.
What? U should have just stuck with your first sentence.
The Nintendo appeal ;)
It's gonna happen.. but there are only some servers that are made for the Vita x PC interaction.
There are also some minor caveats as well (w/c can be understandable).

The 3ds says so otherwise. Then again, the big N is just doing pretty darn good eversince.
As long as there's Mario and Pokemon, they'll have iterations on Ninty's handhelds.. and those have much wider audience appeal.
There are plenty of dev support for the 3DS.
More Mario and Pokemon.. and those cutesy/kiddy games by and on Ninty (like Disney Princesses and Nintendogs + cats, Gordon Ramsey game).
Modern PC shts on any single console in terms of library.
@topic: It would suck.. but I can see it happening and people accepting it.
DRM getting worse and worse on every platform :(
