Definitely agree. If 3rd party support isn't that stellar, it's Sony's own responsibility to shake things up: New daring VITA only IP, new GoW VITA, GTurismo VITA, etc.

Latest I've read in Siliconera was that they will do it if there demand is big enough but that's an "if".
It will always play 2nd fiddle to the 3DS sales and software count. Still, can't say for sure it won't have an amazing library on its own that can stand against 3DS top tier software.
SO FAR (emphasize), VITA 2013 doesn't look like it'll be able to stand up against the competition.
Destination Playstation for Feb is a retailer event.. so expect leaks only..
E3 is likely to focus on the next gens..

Project X Zone is coming to the 3DS on the West. A rare title to come outside JPN because of the plethora of characters from several franchises.. but the 3DS has made it possible..
and then there's the One Piece game that has PS3 and a VITA version.. but the VITA version will never come to the West..
