Wait for the double standards guys. When MS announce their upgraded console, the same people that have criticize Sony will praise MS for exactly the same thing.
Then watch the same website praise MS when they announce their upgraded console. In fact, watch for all these articles and who they are because when MS reveals their upgrade, you will see the double standards at the highest point.

So far I liked the lore of Bloodborne more than Dark Souls. It was very interesting and everywhere there was a little piece of the puzzle.
They are different. I like Bloodborne more because I don't have to care about equipment weight, not able to wear some armor and because of the Gothic atmosphere but I still like like Dark Souls 3 a lot and I am having a very good time with it.
Can it be that all the buzz is just because we are not used to this on the console market? If this NEO stuff fails, we can be sure that our market will stay a fixed one for years to come. We as customers are going to be the ones to decide if our market will remain the same or it will be like the other markets lately.
The NEO reference could not be more true to this situation.

Every year, me, as many others, buys a new Samsung Galaxy phone $700 to $800. No one seems to be mad when a new model is announced in fact people are waiting for it. Every time I say: I will not buy a new model again, my current t model is still new and ok!!! And then when I am at the store and see the new model guess what? I end up buying it cause I can't resist new technology. This is the same with iPhone, TV, and other devices.
And the xbox One is the E.T. game for Atari.

Let's not forget about the double standards. If tomorrow Microsoft announce the same thing, lots of people will say Yes! This is the future, well done. The same people criticizing Sony about this will be the same people to glorify MS tomorrow if they decide to do it too.

If it was on Xbox 360. MS will have to announce a new version of their xbox One. Having always the worst versions is not good.

Last gen MS was constantly bragging about sales with such a high ego. Now that the PlayStation is totally dominating the market with a huge margin, MS ego has been destroyed and they not even dare to speak about official numbers to not look ridiculed.
They have even gone that far to say that sales doesn’t matter anymore and now they measure success with active xbox live accounts.

Well one thing is for sure. Sony does not handle these things as messy as MS does. They will speak, but they will not create chaos as MS usually does.
I think you forgot that last gen MS had a console that performed better that the PlayStation and still the PS3 outsold it even when it was released a year later. Also, your theory wouldn't apply right now for any xbox One owner or new console owner to buy a PS4 which is more powerful than the x1?
