It has been always like that for me in every Dark Soul game.
If that happens then the xbox will end up third just like last gen but this is Nintendo, they focus is on the family and children market. I wish to have a Nintendo console with a mature udience too in mind but it will not happen.

MS definitely needs a new console. The xbone has a dark cloud over it. They need to get away from that and not make and incremental xbox One upgrade. Start with a new xbox and try to make it unique, not an optional Microsoft device fighting against the windows 10 PC games.
The game already has a better score than Quantum Break on metacritics.

The king of all consoles is still the PS2. Also, xbox has never won a single generation ever. The only crown we can give xbox 360 is the failure rate crown for the red ring of death. No other console ever had such a rate of failure.

Very impressive and I am glad the franchise is alive and healthy. This is another PS4 exclusive with a high rated score on metacritics. Congratulations to the developers. Also, this game was on 1 platform only and not on PC. Pretty impressive.

In the console market. MS is a US appeal only brand while PlayStation is a worldwide recognized brand. This is why the PS3 managed to surpass the xbox 360 even when it was released a year later and even with all the launch problems.
It will take MS more than a "powerful console" to surpass PlayStation.

So MS should keep focus on games while the competition releases new hardware and games and new ways of playing with Virtual Reality. In other words, according to this article, MS should stay irrelevant.
For me the reason is because the xbox community is small compared to PlayStation, xbox community does not support well these kind of games, they didn't even supported Tomb Raider, and at the end, the game was not really that appealing.
I don't think the game would has succeeded even if it was multiplatform..
It has been already stated by Sony that the separate box is NOT to beef the PS4 but to split the signals and work some sound stuff.
A big jump means a new console. New consoles get years to develop. A " real jump"... There is no such thing, only rumors from Phil. Remember, Sony is not in the position where MS is. Xbox would need a real new console because the xbox, compared to the PS4, is a failure. PS4 is dominating the market. 2 different positions, 2 different strategies.
