I just got the orange box the other day, i exchanged it for COD4(i know, I'm insane) And I have had NO problems with the game except for the whole 20 second respawn with TF2(i hate it... the respawn.. but the game is so fun that I can let this be excused) and I beat portal in no time flat, but it was outrageously fun!! I just started HL2, I never got around to playing HL2 as the time it came out my PC screwed me over and I already had consoles to play and I realized that PC's were more expens...
Yep, along with every Windows OS... XP is only popular because it's cheapest(apart from Linux), and it comes standard with basically any prebuilt PC except for the 200-250 dollar Red Hat PC's at wal-mart. Ugh, Vista is a driver hell... Very few people like it, my Grandma(yes, grandma) got a new PC with Vista, an NVIDIA 8800, 4gb of RAM... I know, insane for a granny, but anyways, she wishes she still had her windows 2000, or a Mac.

I'm not so sure about looks, but some of the objects in COD4 do look like they could be in a PS2 game =X Then again, this is also after seeing Uncharted... I don't think UT3 exactly has the best graphics.. The texture loading is annoying to me, but all games on the UE are like that. UTIII is really the only FPS I can actually play. Get me that flak cannon, sniper, or hte link gun and Im all set(or the rocket launcher of course :D).. on COD4 I just simply cant play it... the game really gets o...
I just got a new flat panel for xmas... I honestly have to say I do kinda miss my old 480p tube TV. I still play my N64, SNES, and DreamCast alot, and I must say that the games on those consoles on my LCD 1080i HDTV look terrible. I cant even play Army Men Sarges Hero's 2 without my eyes bleeding(ok, not really, but you get it).. and yes, that game is the greatest shooter ever apart from Goldeneye(on 64).. least the split screen is insanely fun. I saw Ocarina of Time... the game looks horribl...

So you're saying a game is good solely by sales? If something were good only by sales, then Windows should be the greatest OS out there. It is most definitely not. Sony has proven you can still be successful no matter your competition. They proved you can sell (possibly by the end of the year) 8million consoles, when your competition is millions of rabid false-informed fanboys... false-informed press... and a cheap little console that sells like crazy. HDDVD could easily win this if they bribe warner to go HD exclusive... should that happen then I think HDDVD will take the throne :X I'm not so sure which way warner is going to go.... but i hope it's blu ray...
I think it is Sony that is delaying these games, not the developers. Possibly a strategic delay so they can have all the games be released throughout '08, rather than one season. It will surely be great to build up hype and get more fans to the games as well. I think UTIII and the new Warhawk xpacks should hold me over until all these games come out. I think KZII will be delayed until maybe summer, MGS4 will release in may or so, and yeah... i dont think any of the killer ps3 exclusives will ...
Honestly, I agree. This gens consoles do suck... Gaming was dead to me ever since Microsoft came in... Im not entirely blaming microsoft... but I'm just using them to mark an era. I miss the 64 days! :(
