What I got from this artical is that dice guy kinda sorta admitted that the ps4 version should come out better cuz read the key words like MORE RAM and MORE POWER YIELDS BETTER RESULTS. We all know that on paper, ps4 has up to 50% more umph than xbox1, and he doesn't want to be accused of playing console gaming politics so he skates around it by saying pc this & pc that, but ps4 & xbox1 are also now actually semi customed PC's. This is how I read it.

This site seems to be a little off, the closest gpu spec to match what the ps4 does is the Radeon HD 7970m-mobile. Just go to the amd site and look at the spec area of the 7900 series. And the closest 28mn gpu is the 7970m, just scaled down a bit, from 850mhz to 800 and gcn cores from 20 to 18. This had been the more popular rumor for some time.
And another thing, don't forget about it being more than just an average mobile gpu, it also has general purpose compute tech...
Your right, "Somebody", but I see this a definite WIN for all gamers, PC/Console/Mobile alike because as of starting next-gen,(*except for Wii U) The universal hardware & instruction set code for vgaming has been officially standardized, as PC X86-64 hardware. Porting games across all platforms would be much easier & cheaper, as said in this article.

Microsoft doesn't design nor make it's hardware, they outsorce it to outside manufactures. MS is software. Sony on the other hand is hardware everything, they design and build everything from from ground up, but software needs to be outsourced also. I don't get how they could so ingeniously get all that cool tech in such a small package. I'd love to see the motherboard soon, to see how they pack all that gddr5 memory on board after reading only 512mb per stack come on pc graph...

Mp looking damn good. Great animation, way mord advanced than anything seen on Uncharted mp. The sound design seems way more real world than the cartoony action sound heard in uncharted. This why sony is waiting for microsoft to make the 1st move on price so they could under cut ms by $50-100. It worked for sony last time for 1st playstation vs sega saturn. Did the mock designers even study the teaser enough? The shape is clearly SQUARE shaped, like the ps3 slim v1 model. This mock is way too Rectangular. Good try, but instant fail.

I'm a proud playstation 3 owner too, but hey, to the guy at gamingillustrated who made this artical. Do us all a solid. JUST SHUT THE HELL UP! And knock off these pointless post just to get hits! PS3 has NOT won this gen. Wii won the sales, X360 owns the popularity and PS3 just....stood it's ground, in fact, running DAMN strong, even caught up close to X360's sales.
Neither wii nor xbox were able to bump PS3 out this generation like the ps2 bumped out the dreamcas...
At the press conference 03/20, Mark Cerney said the demo was running on PROTOTYPE ps4 hardware. So it's running on the very earliest hardware specs, 2gb/4gb of gddr5 I believe.
So, The ps4 DOES SUPPORT DX11(*Microsoft owned API propriety) & Native OPEN_GL 4.0. What the hell does the word "Beyond" fit in? Is it beyond dx11.1?

My only conclusion to why no 1080p/60 is dice must have developed BF4 on the eariler ps4 kits when the ram spec was a only 4gb. What I don,t get is why only the pc only gets DX11 support and not the consoles. Aren't the consoles dx11 ready also?
I don't think either console design's look bad. XB1 looks exactly what it's aspired to be, A "jack of all trades" SET TOP BOX. Mission accomplished MS.
The PS4 looks like a slight attempt to re-imagine the GREATNESS that hung around the PS2 era while maintaining the tried a true ability the be played vertical as well as horizontal.
