The Wii is a fad, dont you ever forget that.
The moment a 45 year old colleagues in work (who have never gamed before) start buying a Wii because they 'heard it sounds good' is the moment you start to realise this.
In my eyes the Wii is a joke, and nothing, I mean nothing, will change that.

Json Henry, as much as your comments are normally good, this is one is really stupid. Console gaming is about diversity (well, for the PS3 at least). Can you imagine playing a fighting game, or a racing or football game with a mouse or keyboard?!
Console gaming for me is the best because it caters for all game types - simple as.
Those figure for Japan are incorrect. It is basically saying that the PS3 is 2/1 over the 360 - complete and utter rubbish. The PS3 has basically trounced the 360 almost every week for the last year.

You can download the firmwares in work (assuming your working) and use your works ultra fast connection :) The, if you have a big enough memory stick you can update from that.
There is a PS store via a PC. Just download content, then put on a Memory stick (ensuring its big enough) then insert that into your PS3 and transfer across.

I'm a PS3 owner, but seriously, the PS3 can do with some reliability as well. I have had two break on me in two months :(

I think by you taking all your HD DVD equipment back and replacing it with Blu-ray has hit home with me exactly how much of an effect this whole Warner Bros going Blu has done.
I literally bet there are 1000's of people like you who have done this.
I have been Pro Blu all along, but as happy as I was to read the news yesterday, I still deep down feel some compassion for the losers in this.

I still dont understand why people are charged money to pay online.
This is why I think we (as gamers) need M$ out of the gaming industry. All they do is screw people over, and completely hinders progression because of their greed and incompetence.
It was a sorry sorry day for the gaming industry when M$ announced a gaming console (XBox) all those years back.
toughName: are you plain stupid. Sony's studios have thus far delivered on time. Hell, Rachet and Clank and Uncharted were released a week early. Its the dumb devs used to program on the Xbox that have problems and delay.
