im not sure next-gen refers to the improved hardware or even the improved games. I think it realtes to the community aspect that we now get demos (and can recommend them to friends), chat with each other people while playing different games, invite each other to games and other community features such as map creation, user-created games (LBP, Halo3) and Clan support.
Its also the gamerscore/trophies, tournaments, map packs and DLC that makes the current gen, the current 'next-gen...
lets hope this quick approval by Sony doesnt end up like another firmware 2.4 situation. Make sure it works first, please.
i got that E74 error, sent it to MS under the 3yr RROD policy and got a new 'refurb' 8 days later through my door. I was dissappointed my ever reliable 360 finally broke (so now i cant say mines never broken) but i am glad they have a system in palce to get it fixed promptly

The ads are not intrusive and are always for game related stuff, i'd rather have them to tell me what is in store this week and where to get free themes.

Maybe open your eyes and realise the most popular games this year are mulitplatform. Despite halo3, COD4 and GTA proving to be popular Gears is still in the the top5 most played games on XBL, and for good reason.

loved the first one, definately getting this one. Any game where you can grapple up to a helicopter then use that to fly up, jump out, land on a moving plane and jack it is good in my book. Plus the map was huge, really huge

So the PS3 needs a 8.5GB install and the 360 doesnt need one at all, i know which one i'll be buying it for. I have the 40GB PS3 and its nearly full up. Plus id rather have Yoda than Darth Vader.

I just wanna know if the trophies will be copy/paste of the 360 acheivements or whether they'll be different. Obviously Sony will set rules on how many trophies per game etc.. but it will be interesting to see the first set. Some acheivements on the 360 are done really well (Orange Box for example) and some are done badly (any EA or Sports game really)
yes it has to be enabled, like the new update to Burnout Paradise has given this option to PS3 users. Shame i have it on 360 really.

its a nice idea and i like his suggested new look. The current one does already show you what's in tray though, and Y is mapped to something but apart from that he's spot on. Allt he wasted space could be used better and his design stops things overlapping each other.

weird, i have the same reasons for not going on my PS3. My better games and my friedns are on the 360 so i play that a lot more. I cant see this changing in the next six months either.
Its a matter of choice, if you dont like Gears of War (i cant see why but thats your choice) and Halo3 or Mass Effect then a 360 may not be for you. Plus you will always go and play where your friends are.

I've had only one glitch (so not exactly constant), the driving isnt great but doesnt ruin the game.
