This was a bad move by MSFT, yes you will get more sales, but the PR from this is damning. To me kinect was the most innovative aspect of this console generation, and you can pretty much expect all game support for it to be dropped now. Now it's priced the same as its competitor, but it's competitor has stronger hardware. I still believe XB1 will have the better games, but I'm not feeling this move at all. Quantum Breaks and Sunset Overdrives better be a regular on XB1.
...
As long as the quality devs like Epic, Insomniac, Remedy, Betheseda.... like working with MSFT and XB1, I couldn't care less about what these anonymous looking for 10 minutes of fame devs have to say.
I love Forza, but the cost of the dlc is a little much. I understand it takes a lot of work to create those cars and tracks, but to get the compete Forza experience it cost $110 if you have to buy the game and dc separately. $50 dlc is unacceptable Imo and I hope they don't try that again with Forza 6 or Hirizon.
Looks like they balanced the fun in this game really well. You can play it solo or with friends, if they add a competitive multiplayer that is just icing on the cake. Sunset Overdrive is easily looking like one of the best titles for 2014.
I'm still waiting to see someone with an XB1 and Internet without xbl. Most of those apps require Internet, so it's really not that big of a deal. God to see they are looking out for the few that don't though.
I think 343i understands the importance of the mp for Halo 5. I am confident they will nail it this time.
MSFT has plenty of gems to show at E3, can't wait.
We are down to two possibilities.
1.Sony confirmed 1080p 60fps before Ubisoft was ready
2.Sony lied
I'm being dead serious at what point can we hold sony accountable. Its like they can do whatever they want and everyone just excuses them. On ign the Watchdogs article had over 13,000 comments, the ones here on n4g had hundreds. 1080p 60fps was on like every gaming website, and if it was a "mistake" that is like false advertising as it cou...
I prefer the other fake lists.
Don't forget Sunset Overdrive, this just goes to show no company is perfect no matter how much crap is spewed. Experiences vary from person to person.
Also this is a VR game, is the MSFT interest in this game a hint their VR/AR might be presented in the near future?
That's some serious staying power 2 months in and still topping the charts.
Heck Yea, still to this day my favorite console gaming experience was on Socom. Nothing beat the online infrastructure allowing clan battles. That game was darn near perfect.
You and many others just proved you don't read past the title concerning MSFT/XB1 articles. The very first sentence without clicking the article says "A plea for Phil Spencer and MS to reconsider their position on an XBox handheld, and why doing so could allow them to create problems for their console competitors." This is just someone who thinks MSFT should create a hanheld, NOT MSFT considering a handheld.
I doubt MSFT gets into the handheld business because...
Sony paid for that hush exclusive content package. The producer of Watch Dogs, Dominic Guay, said the XB1 version would have a more dynamic version utilizing the cloud. This article is after the console reveals, so he knew all the specs. I wonder if watch dogs is still going to utilize the cloud, because there has been no mention of the XB1 version since that deal with Sony was signed. A lot of fans want to talk about pushing both machines, well the cloud should be utilized, the devs clearly ...
More of the best and brightest developing for XB1, keep them coming.
SUBJECTIVE. We are moving closer to online only games and I think XBL is a better service than psn. During times of maintenence on ps4, XB1 gamers will still be playing. Also what if games are allowing dedicated servers is sony going to rent the servers or just have its gamers use p2p. Sony does not have the near worldwide server farm equal to Azure. The Single player experiences will probably be better on playstation and online experiences will be better on XB1. Take Titanfall for example XB...
You mention could, but Ryse is still considered one of if not the best graphical game so far this generation. Imagine if DX12 was ready at launch because of the CPU utilization reduction, that would have helped the framerate. Ryse 2 will be immaculate with high quality graphics and nice and stable framerate.
Good work MSFT, keep them coming.
I feel sorry for those holding out hope Titanfall 1 is coming to ps4. Does reality really escape you guys that much, that you totally ignore devs explicitly saying Titanfall 1 is exclusive to MSFT platforms for the life of the game. Also I remember last time this article came up people were talking about unmet sales goals. Do you realize Titanfall sold 925k physical copies in US alone in 3 weeks, and week in week out for the last 2 months has been one of if not the top selling games worldwide...
Agreed Definitely day 1 regardless the specs.
On second thought this is a brilliant business decision to release this information now. Just think about how much momentum sony gained last E3 by countering the drm/price/forced camera options. This just means sony is going to have to EARN E3 2014 with their games presentation, because it is looking like 90 minutes of games for MSFT. By releasing this info now, it gives people 1 months to sort their feelings out, then at E3 MSFT will present GREAT GAMES and possible DX12/Cloud Processing tec...
