Definitely agree, perfect timing. I'll wait until they announce compatible drives before I order a new one, but hopefully all drives are compatible.
Good Good, take your time and do it right.
Hmmmm, pretty good hyping whatever it is. I like these little slow leaks leading up to E3 if true. Halo 5 news before E3 = mind blow, but I just can't see the #1 Xbox game revealed before E3, so I assume Halo 2. Either way they must have some gems ready for E3.
This is great news, as an XB1 owner I know I'll already have Halo 2, and Sunset Overdrive to fulfill my multiplayer needs. Heck I'm even excited for COD. Destiny might even be good. The Division will be great for next year.
Halo us easily the second most recognizable game outside of Mario. To say it has limited appeal outside of the xbox fanbase is a stretch. PS i thibk Fable can be revived with a new vision. The screen art I have seen so far has me excited. I don't see the problem in marketing their products, probably could make a hit cartoon.
In the GAMES department MSFT has bested sony in terms of XB1 and ps4. No need to debate the now as we all now XB1 has better games currently and in the forseeable future. If the sony really had as many games as fans are expecting I don't think they would be pushing indie games and multiplats so hard. Also maybe I'm mistaken, but sony is in a full blown restructuring of the company, I doubt they will be cranking out exclusives like I keep hearing.
MSFT on the other ha...
I can feel it, MSFT is about to go nuclear at E3. We are only about 3 weeks out, CAN'T WAIT!
I agree with the article 100%, kinect felt the most next gen out of everything else. Talking to my console, streaming, video edit... felt like something new and fresh. Basically the gaming world is saying a more powerful 360/ps3 would have sufficed.
@Heavy guys like you make me laugh, you call kinect gimmicky, but will be one of the 1st to tout 15 year old VR technology as the next best thing. I would rather talk to my console and play motion games, than sit on my couch with ...
I disagree with this article entirely, VR focus is an automatic loss. Phil Spencer has said GAMES, GAMES, GAMES from the very beginning and the only thing that can outdue games, is better games. The fact that Spencer is making all these announcements now and the fact that Sunset Overdrive was revealed one month before E3 signals that MSFT is bringing the HEAT. Sony should focus on games at E3, starting with a Syphon Filter and Socom reboot.
Lol my BIGGEST gripe with gaming fans is that the majority is just a bunch of followers like a cult or something. For some reason they really think these companies are like charities instead of businesses. MSFT, Sony, and Nintendo all want to make money above all else.
People always talk about arrogance, well when I was in college sony charged over $2000 for the vaio laptop and it was an average pc, basically they overcharged for every single one of their products, hence why ...
I didn't know I wouldn't be able to use voice commands anymore, or edit videos, or use it for animations in Project Spark, or stream gameplay on twitch, or play kinect Sports Rivals, or D4 was cancelled, or auto sign in.
People are thinking in the present without looking at the complete picture. We all know VR is coming and I imagine MSFT VR/AR will work with kinect, so plenty of people will already have their kinect. I will agree that support will drop some because t...
Are we just going to ignore direct ways sony has copied MSFT:
-internal hard drives
-psn modeled after xbl
-Indies self publishing from xbox arcade
-Apps on consoles
-PC like architecture
-trophies directly copied from achievements
-party chat
-Controller triggers
MSFT has brought a lot to the gaming industry, whether you like them or not.
Well you would have a point if the go to defense mechanism by ps4 fans wasn't to mention sales. You always hear more powerful and X# of sales, but you hardly hear it's selling well because of the great games.
I actually agree sort of with Yusuf, because that was just one in many factors. Ps3 was a major letdown for me and I owned all the systems the previous gen. Sony just totally abandoned multiplayer and coop games, and went to the single player only model and los...
If you own an XB1, you most likely bought it for online gaming, I think very few if anyone will sell their xbl gold account. I still have like 18 months left doing the same thing every year, buy 1 year account for $30 bucks during black friday online deals.
This is like offering people some of your food to be nice, but you really don't want to give them any.
GAME ON!!!! When you look at it XB1 has the better games and the games most people are looking forward to. Lets look at the now in terms of exclusives. XB1 is the only system checking all the boxes.
Racing-Forza
Fighting-Killer Instict
Action- Ryse, DR3
FPS-Titanfall, PvZ
Creative- Project Spark
I'm getting a lot of disagrees, but not a lot of replies because you know it's true.
This is a brilliant E3 2014 move by MSFT, sony literally stole all the momentum at E3 2013 for simply announcing a cheaper console and making digs about drm and kinect when both were part of sony's plans.
Phil Spencer has already said it's going to be 90 minutes of games, so sony will have to earn E3 this year. These moves are starting to make me believe that AWESOME WISHLIST might be partly true, they will need a lot of games, averaging 5 minutes per game that's ...
Lukas don't you talk about your little disagrees, I darn near got banned for simply saying we should be able to hold sony accountable. Not only is it NOT 1080p, its not 60FPS either. How do you make a mistake that big.
I just might get this game for 360, so I can play with my nephews, unless there is a reason next gen is better.
I can't wait to pick up MAX COTB, I will get Halo SA because it's available. All these announcements excite seeing as how they are freeing up more and more time to present GAMES at E3.
"This tweet pretty much tells how it is:"
Matt Helgeson @MattHelgeson 21 Min.
people rip on Nintendo for refusing to face reality and change course and rip on Microsoft for correcting their mistakes.
It's always a lose-lose with gaming fans.
Yea I don't understand that at all, hopefully it's not an officially Xbox magazine, or that person should be fired for approving that cover. Halo doesn't need to compare itself to any game.
On Topic: Halo 5 Guardians sounds awesome.
