If it was sold at more of a budget price like $29.99 - $39.99, and without some of Murray's promises, I think people would be happier. Should've kept marketing it as an indie rather than a AAA tent pole. Woulda added another 10% to the avg score if expectations were kept in check.

Point 5 is neither here nor there. Nothing's really disrupted since the Pro is still just a PS4. Anything it sells just adds to the same install base. Whether people wanna pay more or less for a 4, at the end of the day they're still getting a 4.

Gears 4 has already disappointed critically and it didn't change anything. Switch hyped some but did absolutely nothing for many others. TLG, FF, COD, nothing will kill the clickbait that is NMS when the media keeps getting drama from it via new twitter hacks etc. If it's not one thing it's another. Media's gonna Lucille that game til it's Abra-glenned.

This is hardly lynch bait, especially for a SP game. RDR1 had retailer exclusives for all sorts of different stores and partners, like a war horse if you bought it at Best Buy, or golden guns with faster reload from Amazon. Go protest there while you SJW's are at it.
Who ME?! Don't shoot the messenger. Chick also flunks PlayStation games on a regular basis like a 2/5 for uncharted3 and a 1/5 for Beyond2Souls. 1/5 for NMS on PC. It happens on all platforms.

PC has horrible exclusives, until MS gave them the keys to their castle. And even then, i'd rather play Mario than some World of Starcraft Warcraft Minecraft RTS 120fps walking simulator pay-to-win MMO piece of crap.
