Honestly, there's a very big chance that other future projects from him may never even see the light of day on Xbox platforms based on everything that's going on between him and Sony right now. Sony acquiring his studio is VERY likely to happen at this point.

I'm not the biggest fan of 2D fighters as I prefer 3D fighters like Tekken, DOA, Ultimate Ninja Storm but I'm getting Street Fighter 5 in February so I think I'll give this a chance as well. Just need a price and a release date.
I look at it as a multiplat and a console exclusive. Just because something isn't fully exclusive doesn't mean it still isn't exclusive in some, way shape or from.
Is it exclusive? No because it is coming to the PC so it's a multiplat.
Are PC's a console? No. Can you get Street Fighter 5 on any other console besides the PS4? No. So it's a PS4 console exclusive.

I just figured that out a couple of minutes ago. At the time of writing my comment I was kinda under the impression that they had renamed both companies to Sony Interactive Entertainment. I thought both subsidiary companies were undergoing a name change. I didn't know both companies were actually merging at the time. I know this is good news and Sony is trying to strengthen the brand even further but still, I'm really going to miss the "Sony Computer Entertainment Presents" opening to a lot of my games. I'm also going to miss that logo; hopefully they don't change it. After 18 years I got very accustomed to seeing that logo and opening in my games. :(
It seems to me like most AAA games that are released nowadays by big 3rd party publishers and developers are either milked games or just sequels to already established franchises so it's always exciting to see new AAA developers emerge. New IP's are desperately needed because there definitely seems to be a lack of new AAA IP's from big 3rd party publishers and developers this generation.
Well, Sony is dominating with the PS4 right now so much so that they have a 50% market share so I can definitely see Microsoft launching their next console in 2018. Microsoft is going to try kickoff the next generation and get the jump on Sony by launching their console first like they did with the 360 when the PS2 was dominating. If not 2018 then I can definitely see them launching their console in 2019 at the latest.
Personally, I hope we don't get new consoles in 2018...

I agree with you Brettman although I don't care if Sony adds those features you listed. Honestly, all I really want is the option to appear offline while I'm online but unlike the guy above me, I realize that those features you listed are heavily requested features and I realize that I'm not the only person on the planet so just because I may not care for those features doesn't mean a large portion of other people don't.

You're comparing the PS4's exclusive lineup to the PS3's exclusive line up and that's fine but there is one flaw in your comparison.. One console has lived out it's entire generation and has been out for 9 years. The other consoles generation isn't done yet and it has only been out for 2 years. Seriously though, Sony and Microsoft both need to start investing more money into their networks because it's obvious that whatever they're doing now is not good enough. We are paying for these services and both networks perform like free services. It's ridiculous and inexcusable at this point.
I just wish there were more story based interactive drama games. That genre of games is lacking in the industry.
Good game. I have it on my Vita. I just feel this game was overlooked by a lot of people when it released though so I'm glad it's on the PS4 because now it will get more exposure which it deserves.
