Personally I dont think graphics are everything, but they still need to stay relevent.
My biggest gripe is people hyping up graphics that dont deliver. Do I care if Reach isnt better looking than Killzone? No. But I would like it to atleast be close. F3 doesnt look as good as GT5P, but its not far off. Alan Wake looks like it will be close to UC2. If its not better, who cares. Its still damn good. I just hate games getting 10's for graphics when they dont deserve them.

I think its more likely to be a high resoluion 2d image, not volumetric. Probably couldnt tell teh difference from that distance.

Shame. Not one mention of Little Big Planet. Endlessly deep, yet you can use as few control inputs as forward and jump. The first time I saw my little sack person get a teensy bit impaled by little big spikes i literally yelled "its sonic".
Well I brought one about a week ago. Its more of a novelty than anything else. Still prefer the games on the PS3.
Oh and I'm gonna make an admission... ODST online is f###ing good. I got a one month Gold subscription to try it out. I dont think I'll renew it, online gaming should really be free, but yeah. Does it make up for the shortcomings of the console? No, not really. IMO sales would go though the roof if online play was free.
Yeah. Even without the OtherOS feature, the PS3 is still leaps and bounds ahead of the 360. Had a 360 for a week and Im yet to see anything that even gets close to the PS3 in terms of quality. Already having problems with Forza 3 getting all jerky in the menus, Left 4 Dead has crashed and reset the console about 5 times. ODST looks great as a TPS, but average as hell as a FPS. The Conviction demo left me so unimpressed I was stunned. I still havent played online because im not paying for a se...

Im starting to think sony should have allowed otherOS retention at the cost of future upgrades. Let them keep all their current services, such as online, but make all future game updates, dlc, firmware updates and service additions inaccesable to these machines. They couldnt get sued for refusing to implement new features, and the number of people who would turn down new DLC, 3d gaming, more feature filled XMB, etc for other os support would be minimal.

Xbox fanboys are freaking delusional. The 360 is no where near as capable as the ps3 in the graphics department. The games are good and all (just about to fire up the splinter cell demo) but you guys need to let it go. If it's all in the engine, why does forza 3 still not compete graphically with gt? Maybe if the media and fanboys didn't give the xbox a free pass there would be more incentive to improve it.
Gun looks great. Just hope the rest of the game is as good. My only real gripe is that I hate prequals. Not that it's gonna stop me playing it.
Somehow I think that the "We dont expect it to influence share prices" clause in their report to shareholders may not have been completely accurate.
To be fair man, Forza 3 isnt that bad. The trackside detail is very good. The tracks feel too narrow, and the car detail lags a fair bit, but its actually not a bad game. Not definitive, and I prefer the driving model in GT5:P and Academy, but it doesnt completely suck.
