I get staff discount at a certain retailer so it works out at £251 for the switch!
This is retarded.
There is honestly no point in Nintendo building a high spec console that directly competes with sony/ms. The route that they have taken is the only route they could really go down! Ill always appreciate Nintendo because they were such a big part of my childhood, so for that reason alone i hope the switch does well.
£270 is a fair chunk of money, but like anything, if get long term enjoyment out of it im sure it will warrant the price.
I would certainly throw it in my bag for work as I sometimes have 1-3h downtime and this would fill it perfectly. Other than that, I don't really know. I suppose it depends on the person buying it, I'm sure city folk would use it on the tube, long car journeys, weekends away from home ect. There is certainly a market for mobile gaming, obviously. I think it would be quite nice to have that mobile option in a console even if you don't intend on using it out all the time.
...
£270 is not that bad, it would be better with a game though. My PS4 was £350 on release if I remember correctly. Accessories for all the current consoles are over priced, period. I wanted a new ps4 controller, you think I'm paying £40-50 for one? Nope.
I will most probably pick up a switch, but not on realease. Console gaming in general is so expensive, games, online, headsets, controllers ect.
I had so many laughs in Crackdown with friends. Literally tears rolling down my face.
I really enjoyed ZombiU on the WiiU, I might pick it up on PC when it releases. Hopefully they add more melee weapons this time around, using the same cricket bat throughout the game was a bit tedious.
ARMA 3 is a superb game, I have hundreds of hours logged and have never had any issues with dlc choppers ect.
I played it at EGX, same old shite.
There are hardly any games to play on PS4 (I have one), I'm not really surprised it has more players playing. Bf4 on PC killed itself, it was a horrible broken mess and people got tired of playing a shitty broken game, that or they simply got bored like myself.
It looks nice and feels great, I just found it boring :/
I'm not a massive fan of 'TV' focused consoles/add on's, mainly because they suck in countries outside of the US (Especially the UK) But this does sounds really good, especially the streaming games ect.
I would say a good majority of that 10 million still own a 360/ps3.
I own a ps4, but if I didn't have a pc I would certainly buy it on 360 or ps3.
The beta was fun for a while but I can see it getting old very fast. I'm not hyped at all for this.
I thought it was about having fun.
I'll wait for it to come to ps4.
I played this at eurogamer it was really good.
i STILL cannot get a ps4 in the UK lol.
150 Tesco stores have stock tonight at 12:01. I'm going to pick one up after work.
So much negativity on this website it's actually quite comical. The hate for Nintendo and the downvotes for anyone that has a solid positive opinion for the machine is just funny.
The Switch doesnt need to be as powerfull as the PS4/xone to succeed and it certainly doesnt need Titainflop2.
