if you want more campaigns then there's a host of ones coming at www.l4dmaps.com and some of them are rather good
The fact that the DLC packs are only available through GFW renders it pretty well unavailable for PC owners too - what PC owner is a) going to want to install GFW, b) going to create an account, and c) going to get ripped off by the way the points are priced. It'd be interesting to see figures for how the DLC's sold across the formats.
Gotta agree that it sucks that PS3 owners have been sold short

I remember seeing this in a PC mag many years back - not so much a box but definitely an X - the cooling possibilities are interesting but I guess it was much larger.
Good list but where was FEAR? And Doom 3 scary? Lights go off, monsters appear - I got fed up of the game trying so hard to scare me, it was laughable.
Sorry but what exactly was good about Braid? It's only Zool with prettier graphics and nice music.

I doubt if the extra channels will help a great deal in full-on fragfests - though headphones are a must to pick sounds out - but I've had a pair of Speed Link Medusa 5.1 headphones and they do add a huge chunk of atmosphere when I've got to keep the noise down (or playing a LAN game). It's surprising how well the 'phones can produce sounds that are behind you, though not as convincing as a decently set-up pair of rear speakers do.
I've got Ubuntu on 2 machines but neither of them shuts down 'promptly', and there are occasions that something hangs causing the O/S to take even longer to close.
I appreciate that there's stuff running but surely there's a way to get an OS to shut down quicker than it does - after all, in my experience, pulling the plug on a PC doesn't generally affect things too much.

I've yet to find any real need for GfWL - it's bloody just annoying and invasive - why do I have to log on just to pick up a Gears Of War save game? A hateful piece of software. And 3 demo's hosted on it - laughable.
I hope it's more exciting than the trailer - great idea to use a touch surface but ultimately it's no different than pushing tin toys around a table top
I'm interested from the perspective of game design (environment, AI etc) but have always had this this odd feeling about hunting games. I play so many FPS that I wonder why I should have such hang-ups about hunting games when taking a virtual human life, armed or not, is essentially more questionable than killing a virtual animal that you would in reality be consuming. I doubt if this sort of game is going to lead to virtual wildlife bloodbath - but perhaps players could be advised that they ...
A laughable selection. Singleplayer COD4 is so boring - it's just COD2 in a modern world - it's pure PS3 fanboyism.
