Exactly. PS3 had actual full backwards compatibility unlike Xbox One and PS4 and no one really cared at the time. It may be a worthwhile feature at launch but not two years later.
Also I would never get rid of my old consoles again unless every game or even over 80% of my games were available and right now that is no where near the case for Xbox One. Still tons of my Xbox 360 games missing.
It was down for less than an hour today and everyone freaks out. XBL went down for 6 hours last month and the only one you heard complain was Snoop Dogg and Xbox fans deny it ever happened.
@Eddie
Cap come have already said it isn't going to Xbox One nor are any other versions of it. Sony is helping fund the game.
Me too. I put in a 500GB HDD and it plays all my PS3, PS2 and PS1 games. I don't think another console will ever be able to do that.
Ratchet & Clank and Gravity Rush Remaster as well. Oh and MLB The Show.
Plenty of them do you just have poor taste in games. Explains why you are an Xbox fanboy though lol.
@PistolsAtDawn
This coming from a deluded Xbox fan. I guess if it was nothing but FPS's you'd be happy. That is a great lineup, especially Eve Valkyrie and RIGS but I guess you'll never get to experience them because of your bias. Sucks to be you.
DriveClub, GT:Sport, Tekken, Project Cars, Eve Valkyrie, RIGS, Ace Combat 7, Eve Valkyrie, FFXIV and many others. Nice try though.
@NeoGamer22
Yes there is.
And yes the Wii U outsold PS4 during Christmas but the PS4 is now outselling it once again
"During the Christmas period, the PS4 lost out to the 3DS and Wii U consoles. In New Year’s though, the PS4 jumped up to second place just falling behind on the 3DS console for the top spot."

*Your numbers are also incorrect as it sold 269,000 in its first week in Japan

"Japan is firmly Nintendo"
They aren't at all. The PS4 is outselling the Wii U in Japan...
It still did really well on PS4 and it being on PS3 also obviously affected the PS4 sales. It is also a spin-off and not a traditional Dragon Quest games so of course it didn't do as well as they usually do.

Dragon Quest Heroes sold over a million copies in Japan and MGS has always been more popular in the west, I don't think anyone said "Just wait for metal gear".
It doesn't have to have PS2 numbers to be successful and trends can always change. It's been many years since there were a wave of great JRPG's and other Japanese games so that is also another reason why consoles haven't done extremely well.
@PygmelionHunter
Sony started working on VR before Oculus was even a thing. They don't need to wait for anything. They are mainly an electronics manufacturer above all. New tech is what they do
XBL has had over a dozen outages in the last year and one the other day that last 6 hours and they aren't offering anyone anything
It was down for around 8 and they are giving us a full day. What do you expect? XBL was down the other day for 6 hours and they aren't giving anyone anything.
@JasonKCK
No it didn't... You Xbox fanboys are so full of it. Xbox Live had more outages in 2015 than PSN did.
@Zotaku87 The PS4 version and 3DS versions of Dragon Quest XI are quite different. The 3DS version is a top down older-style JRPG while the PS4 version is a third person JRPGG. Also the NX version has not been confirmed, it's basically a rumor.
Do you have a source saying not many people bought these games? I see people mention which PS2 classics they bought all over the internet. Having a sale is not "desperation" in any way. They have sales every week...
@Foxtrot
That is your own fault. You were never promised the ability to play any game you bought on PS3 will be playable on PS4, especially PS1 and PS2 games. If it were going to be available in the first year they would have announced it and try to use it as a way to market the console but they didn't.
