Microsoft has the same refund policy as Sony. Microsoft only allows people part of the Xbox Insider program to play for two hours.
Microsoft also hasn't released a new games since before Xbox Series X released so how can they even charge for an upgrade?
Yes thank you for understanding. I find everywhere else I go on the internet everyone else is misunderstanding what is actually happening here and think Sony is directly charging developers to allow cross play. Warren's purposely misleading tweet certainly don't help.
This is also very misleading and so is the update by the mods. Sony doesn't make anyone pay for cross play. They made a deal with Epic that if a person plays Fortnite mostly on Playstation but buys most of their Vbucks elsewhere that Sony is compensated. This was so Epic didn't make it cheaper to buy vbucks elsewhere so Sony gets no cut from Playstation players.
This is because 47% of the revenue generated from Fortnite came from Playstation players and Epic earned ...
They will update the servers but PSN will remain the same. There was no special update required when PS4 came out or when the PS5 came out. It is all one network under one username. I can guarantee that.

All consoles and PSNow will all continue to use the same service which is PSN. It will never shut down so there is nothing to worry about.
The store is a separate front end web app you use to purchase content. It is not PSN nor does a console need a store to connect to PSN
There is nothing to support. The old consoles will be able to connect to it, that is it. Nothing special has to be done for this to happen. It already happens. No extra work is required.

There won't be a PS4 version of PSN just like there isn't a PS5 and PS4 version. They all use the same network and they don't need to update the consoles to connect to PSN because they already do. Same with PSNow.
The old XBL didn't even have authentications like PSN does which was the issue
PSN dor PS4 is not going to shut down. All future Sony consoles and PSNow will continue to use PSN
Sony is not going to shut down PSN as long as they remain in business. All current and future consoles will use PSN. And all the CMOS needs to do is confirm the time...

As long as Playstation exists PSN will exist

This is about a game from 5 - 6 years ago. If there was some downfall it would have started already. Their most violent game is TLOU2 which came out just last year. Clearly some BS going on here
Yeah this is about a Naruto game that came out in early 2016 so this would have happened in 2015 which was 6 years ago.
Since then there have been ton of violent games released on Playstation from both first and third party studios. There is clearly some misinformation here.
Do you also wonder why someone might want to watch their favorite movies or TV shows again? Or buy a 4K bluray of their favorite movies even in they owned them in a different format?
