What do you mean bye to gaming? Your just gonna quit new games and play all old stuff?
Not saying anything wrong with that, just curious if your exiting gaming in the future.
This is one reason why I placed a moritorium on buying any games this year. I have 370 steam games and last gen consoles as well.
The other reason is I have every genre and franchise so no sense buying another ac, cod, etc. until I'm caught up. Plus by that time the games are cheap.
Last reason is many games that aren't finished and need updates several months in, at which time they are discounted.
It's worth a buy to me for what u stated but that doesn't mean at this point, anybody who hasn't played the game should be able to say how it will turn out.
The last year should have taught all, that no game is safe from jackin up.
Because it has not passed the smell test for some since day 1, and fan boys have claimed it was a reason to buy a 400 kit for that game.
Personally I'm interested but I'm skeptical of all games until reviews describe it and I watch a bit on yt.
Tore up over someone else's opinion of a preview is immature. It is prudent to have a careful eye on games after many flops.
All of the x1 fan boys crying over it won't make it a bad game. Just like all the hate on ryse didn't hurt my fun with it.
Anyone can have an opinion, it's more offensive to me for people complaining about others not agreeing with them than possible fan boys with an agenda.
It's also pitiful to see the fan boys support a game they haven't played. I said from reveal one of this game, cool but let's wait and see.
I think gamers are becoming a little guarded after many flops on next gen. It's OK to be critical and give ones opinion of its current state. He also said it may be great.

I'm conflicted, I obviously want improvements but when considering price it can be had for $40 now(with improvements)...so $60 for a game without those improvements is not quite as good.
It's important to me and gives me joy. Might as well give pc the definitive edition considering a lot of us buy high end cards for a reason.

you just have to turn some things down. After extensive testing I can turn quite a bit down without noticing.
Also I have completed randomized double blinded test on friends and they can't tell either, as long as its 4k60fps.
Would be crazy it was $399 and people complained, but then surprised us with better than ps4 gfx... and when the kit is tore down find that it contains an actual ps4 cpu/card.

Either way I give props for improving ai as well as everything else they have done and will do.

Seems like it's an investment into the industry that would benefit rift in the long term.
So instead of buying an x1 I, just stick the old family cpu behind the tv and now my kids have a frigging x1 without the 350-400 price tag!
