Being a gamer I gave some thought how I wanted to bring my kids into games and I did pretty well until recently.
From ages 5-7 they played Kinect/move games for the physical activity. Then wii games, then some kid ps360 games until age 7/8 like LEGO and Minecraft.
Around 8/9 they started halo, and other low blood FPS, and then they found Star Wars battlefront online, part 2, and now overwatch at 10.

It’s unpopular in gaming circles for several fully detailed reasons listed elsewhere, but for those who except it for what it is and want to have fun with it (and Move) then it’s possible.
I introduced it to my kids as they became of age over the years and presented in the right way at the right age it’s a lot of fun.

I’ve wondered over the years if the Kinect on 360 and x1 doesn’t pull a few resources to slow things down a bit. I still play Kinect on 360 with the kids and they love it and the ps3 move games.
I usually stay several games back in time to buy on sale, but if I can buy once on windows store and get cross platform play for all of my kids Xbox live accounts between pc and Xbox then I’ll buy it new.
Surprised nobody mentioned Xbox audio issues with headsets when connected to controllers. I’ve been frustrated for years how sometimes the audio works and then it just stops.
Yt is full of fix videos where people try lots of different things. I’ve bought new controllers and head sets and was about to lose it.
Then today I found a guy saying turn off your controller through the UI, plug audio in, then turn on. This fix worked for me today, yay!
I was just trying to decide should I buy a second 1tb ssd to the one I just bought because I needed to also buy either a 1 or 2 bay enclosure for x1x.
I decided to just get the 1 bay because I’m not sure if next gen will still use usb 3.0 or will they have newer tech ssds?

I’d like him to learn about the theatre arts and then combine his experiences in video games to create something unique. I’m much more open to gaming experiences that dabble into areas I’m weak on, like the arts.
Maybe One Drive could have important documents or photos that the user intended to keep forever and doesn’t plan to use for years. Then comes back to see MS was not the safe company to store those files.
Love this franchise, I recently put my fable 2 disc in the x1x to see the 4K and it looked magical compared to my first play on 360.
Back when fable3 released I had built a pc and it was so pretty like next gen compared to the 360.
I would really like to see fable anniversary in 8k, that’s probably a low resource enough game to be played in 8k on pc, even at 30fps.
I liked the game, it helped that I liked the movie more though. Later I got on pc and pretty sure I had this thing either at 1080p 60 FPS or 4k30, I can’t remember which back in like 2013, before x1 was even revealed. So for the time it was rocking on pc.

Exactly. If one has a hardware budget of several hundred bucks, it would wise to use that budget next year, rather than now.
