Being a consumer doesn't give you cart blanche to make unreasonable demands.

If you think the franchise should continue to go backwards because of the XIII games, then you and everyone who agrees with you are the definition of #entitledgamers.
Games like VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII were all great because the company went out of their way to reinvent different aspects and tell different stories. XIII was weak from the outset, and was compounded by the fact that they doubled down on it twice. You want them to do the same to VII too?
It was one tech demo in 2005. Get over it already. Final Fantasy is at its best when it's moving forward, not backward.

You do have a bias (which is fueled in part by ignorance) when you attribute this company's success largely to "luck." It's that simple.

It started in November of 2013 (2012 for me). Just because it's not up to everyone's standards doesn't mean it's non-existent. The next generation is here, it's been here. And the generation after that will begin when those new consoles launch.
