This is just one week, plus Pikmin's not even a high profile game, imagine when Mario Kart and smash comes out.
Let's check back in a month and see, especially since this game's not out in the West yet.
$300 Deluxe and $250 Basic makes more sense since they're already taking a loss on hardware.
I'm not gonna predict anything. All I'm gonna say is that they SHOULD drop the price and market the hell out of the first party games.
See, a game like this wasn't developed with a ridiculous budget, so it doesn't need to sell 2 million to break even.
I'm not expecting this to make Wii U's fly off the shelves, but it can kick start an upward momentum of hardware sales for Wii U.
An exclusive a month starting with Pikmin 3 is failing?
The only big elephant in the room is third party support, which they can fix if they drive the Install base.
Well, that's depressing.
I wonder how Sony will actually innovate with these new specs. Banking on spectacle will screw them over.
That's actually a legitimate point. Nintendo need to invest more of that money towards Wii U.
But they've already stated that they're expanding their studios to make more games.
Starting with Pikmin 3, there will be a Nintendo published exclusive every month.
So if they can keep some sort of momentum coupled with a price drop, then the Wii U will be fine. But that's IF they do it.
With 12 billion dollars in the bank, yeah dream on.
Also, this article acts as if Nintendo have already lost with Wii U, they have yet to release their big games and they have yet to reveal even more games for the platform.
It's the same broken logic that annoys the hell out of me. I'd absolutely agree with this article if Nintendo DIDN'T have 12 billion in the bank, and already released all of their big games with non of those games selling.
When is another genre gonna dominate the industry?
Third party support has been one of their biggest problems. Hopefully having the install base grow will get them on board.
We need competition to stay around regardless of who you like or not. You need Nintendo Consoles to play Nintendo games, just like you need a Playstation to play their exclusives, END OF STORY.
I think the highest it went was about 128k viewers. Really impressive for a game that's 12 years old. Shows how well it holds up.
Which of those exclusives were announced? Like actually announced? Exactly, just a few.
My original point was that WE the gamers need to stop comparing specs since specs FOR US are completely irrelevant.
We are not developers, so why are we going on and on about the hardware when we should be blowing our loads on what really matters to us, THE GAMES.
I like the PS4 exclusives shown and I'm also excited for the games that will be announced, but right now the Xbox One has a lot of nice looking games that were announced that, let's be hones...
Did you not see me type "In terms of exclusives that are ANNOUNCED"?
And don't give me that quality over quantity bull when you are part of the SAME group of fanboys saying that playstation has more exclusives.
RIGHT NOW at this moment, the Xbox One's exclusives are greater in number and objectively have the PS4 beat.
Infamous looks amazing, But Xbox one's launch titles are making the PS4 launch look lukewarm.
WHO CARES honestly? The difference will be so minimal that making comparisons to begin with are straight up irrelevant.
We need to compare what really matters, GAMES, Which as of now the Xbox one has the PS4 beat in terms of exclusives that are announced.
They need to actually MARKET this message. They need to push the casual titles as well as the hardcore titles if they expect any mass market appeal to come from this console. Only appealing to the "Hardcore" would be a seriously bad move.
Hell, look at Kinect, we all laugh at how stupid it is and how it's not for us and and yet Microsoft was PUSHING it at the forefront, which in tern sold them millions.
Sony better push ALL of their titles and n...
Can we get a 3DS or Vita port please?
Let's see how well this game will do in the West. I'll be getting this day one of course.
