I wonder how Nintendo plan on Marketing these games, as this is supposed to be a system for "everyone".
True, but did I not just say that the market is too unpredictable? Not to mention the PS2, If I remember correctly had a price drop not long after Launch, and the Dreamcast had a TERRIBLE Piracy problem, plus mismanagement On Sega of America's part.
What I said still holds true. After all, the Vita just about decimates the 3DS in every technical category, but it didn't outsell the 3DS, and Price has a lot to do with that.
If Nintendo Drop the Wii U p...
Being the cheapest of the three could certainly make it possible as all of the cheapest consoles of EVERY PAST GEN sold the most.
This is factual people.
But like I say with everything, the market is too unpredictable, so let's wait and see.
lol
What are we gonna play from January 'till then?
Nintendo's IP's sell more than MS and Sony's exclusives.
None of the big three should go away.
Less competition's bad for EVERYONE.
The Walking Dead had a better over all story in my opinion. The Last of Us was a better gameplay experience though.
That's true. More specifically the cheapest console always wins.
The Nes, SNES, Game Boy, PS1, PS2, DS, 3DS, Wii, etc all had the most market share. and what do they all have in common? they were the weakest ones.
We'll see.
The only legit point is the Wii U's price. Which we all know will change soon.
Guess what. SOFTWARE SELLS HARDWARE. There really isn't anything to combat that point, I'm sure when all of Nintendo's first party titles are released, the system will sell just fine, especially coupled with a price cut.
I like Sony too, but everyone's making predictions based on short term news, which is wrong. Not to mention everyone knows that the console with the most mass appeal will win. The PS1 had the most mass appeal, the PS2 did as well and so did the DS, Wii and 3DS. it's a matter of which of the big three will push for that gaming system for "EVERYONE"
Sorry to say, but publishers like making money, and once an install base is at a point, said publisher would want to tap in to that potential revenue. Why do you think Ubisof is still making games for Wii U? They even said them selves that developing a Wii U port is relatively cheap, so I don't get the idea that making Wii U ports would "drag down" next gen games if games like Battlefield 4 are already looking nice on PS4/X1 despite coming to PS3/360.
$199 would mean having to take a MASSIVE loss on the system, $300 for the deluxe and $249 for the Basic seems fair enough.
Not bad. Once they get the momentum going, the big third party publishers will start bringing those next gen games to the system.
Can we quit making these bold predictions based on short term news?
Wasn't Vita supposed to CRUSH the 3DS? Exactly, this is getting stupid.
They have yet to release any of their highly anticipated exclusive games from their big first party studios.
Am I mad that we're going to have to wait even more for those games to be released? Yes. But again, none of Nintendo's killer apps have been out, so why are journalists calling it quits for the system already?
I'd agree with all these DOOM articles if we were like 3 years in to the systems life cycle and it continued to sell badly despite r...
Yeah, something like that makes too much sense. Imagine a Pokemon MMO with Expansion Packs that have whole new regions, it's too perfect lol.
Also, I think another problem Nintendo has is that they have a plethora of IP's already that they don't use.
I mean a lot of older gamers had to wait like 20 years for a new Kid Icarus game. I wouldn't mind having a new F-Zero, Star Fox, Earthbound, Star Tropics, Wave Race, Advance Wars, etc.

There isn't any real justification for Nintendo to keep Region Locking.
They really do need to get rid of it, I wanna play Disaster: Day of Crisis dammit!
The engine is already working on the PS3/360, and the Wii U is a more capable platform. Of course it would work with the Wii U, but the Wii U's install base is low, which of one of the big problems.
