The game is ok, but not great. It's basically an adventure game in 3D. It was an eclectic mix of old gaming conventions which makes it appear deeper than it really is.

My guess is that the French government is funding the new project (since they gave the creator a knighthood). No real businessman would fund this flop.

I think it was a brilliant PR move.

Perhaps Sony will have cricket sounds in Home since nobody will have headsets. Maybe they'll have frog noises as DLC.

Second Life is free, too. Also, it won't be installed on all PS3s according to this article.

Regardless, Home is a game, just like any other game. Yet, this game is just a chat room with nothing to do but look at trophies and watch Blu-Ray movies with other avatars.

It will fail because it is a novelty that will wear off very quickly, like Second Life. The average time spent per user in SL is 17 minutes. They then give up out of boredom.

Sony got caught with their pants down, so they made the Sixaxis and failed. They can't compete in the online realm, so they're making Home.

These are knee-jerk reactions and they're playing catch-up. Home will fail.

No website stays the same over time. Saying "beta" for a website isn't accurate.

It's obvious that this is an attack on Christians.

If you read it, then you would know that there is only one "rule". It's called the golden rule.

From Matthew 7:12
"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."

No. It quite clearly does not. Here's the quote:

Hagee said, "If you live your life and don't confess your sins to God almighty through the authority of Christ and his blood, I'm going to say this very plainly, you're going straight to Hell with a nonstop ticket."

This is true. It's in the Bible and it is the teaching of the Church. However, this isn't the entire picture since the Church and the Bible allow for those that never know of Jesus.

I own HL2 for PC, but monkeying around with amateur mods is more work than fun. If they make some official DLC, I'm in.

The original Alex isn't very attractive, unless you like flat chested women that dress like a guy.

It was obviously not his choice to port NG to PS3. But he said good things until long after it was released. He always distanced himself from the game. It was not his game after all.

Sexual harassment has nothing to do with his job, and he was acquitted anyways.

He simply states the teachings of the Church. It does not say "non-christians are going to hell".

I hope the best for Itagaki. I'm sure this was difficult since Team Ninja is like family. I guess that explains why Microsoft published NG2. He wanted to get paid.

NG2 has a Metacritic score of 81. If anyone gave it a 6 or 7, they weren't skilled enough to finish the game.

NG2 is not a "flop".

DMC was always underwhelming. DMC4 still has a fixed camera and ancient level design.

Itagaki is by far the superior action man. The original NG is still the example for all action games.

These days, games look real if an image is taken at the right light and angle. Once they are in motion, there are subtle things that make them look fake.

But we have come a very long way since the Atari days.

That's why this article was written. They want the great Xbox 360 games without buying a 360.

How's Haze?

He's a genius. We need more guys like him.

There are very few reviewers that take their job seriously. They follow the hype because they are afraid of being wrong. Greg Kasavin (formerly from Gamespot) is the only one that had any consistency in his reviews.
