You're comparing an unfinished demo that dropped a few frames to the disastrous fumble of MCC? Really?
Then why are you here? I see you on every Halo article bitching and moaning about every arbitrary design decision of this game, constantly reiterating "I won't buy this game because reasons". Fine, don't buy it. As a matter of fact, I *encourage* you not to buy it. There. Now you don't have to waste time telling everyone how BIG of a Halo fan you are and how sad you are that split-screen isn't in and how Bungie are the messiah and 343i is trash in every way imaginabl...
I wholeheartedly agree. Arkham Knight wasn't terrible but it really doesn't hold a candle to Arkham City and leaves a lot to be desired. Knight's story and gameplay design just felt rushed and uninspired. Even Origins is better than Knight, IMO.
I still don't see how adding split-screen and dropping the FPS to 30 is a technological hurdle. Keep 60 FPS for single player and 30 FPS for split-screen. Done, Halo 5 GOTY.
If the Wii U can run Mario Kart 8 at 60 FPS in two player split-screen, then the Xbox One should have NO problems at all running Halo 5 at 30 FPS in split-screen.
I don't play split-screen so I don't really care if it's in or not; I just think it's moronic to prioritiz...
I agree, it's a wonderful addition. I've been annoyed by other games (including past Arkham games) that, upon trying to exit the game, it says, "All unsaved progress will be lost". Well, I have autosave on, you dumb game. Did you already save or what? Should I do it manually to be sure?
It definitely needs to be put into more games.
I just want a Sonic Adventure 3. Hopefully one that focuses solely on speed and not treasure hunts and shooting galleries.
I wasn't aware that Super Mario Maker was a flight simulator or a game that featured multiple crumbling buildings. /s
Of ALL the games that could release on 9/11, a Mario game would be the LEAST offensive.
I can understand if a game can run at 1080p but can't push 60 FPS (Destiny as an example); I can understand if a game can run at 60 FPS but can't push 1080p (Battlefield 4 as an example); but if you can't design a game on this generation of consoles that can reach at least one of those criteria, then you were clearly not trying hard enough. There is no way in hell Rocksteady couldn't at least squeeze 1080p out of it and still maintain a solid 30 FPS. I know the X1 is weak but ...
They might have changed Locke's voice because Colter did such a terrible job with the Halo 2 Anniversary cutscenes with the Arbiter.
I was wondering why Locke's voice suddenly got better afterwards...
I've had the game on PC for a few weeks and only now do I feel fully comfortable with it. The author is correct in that ED *does* have a steep learning curve, and the in-game tutorials don't offer much, but in the end it's truly an amazing experience, mainly for the exploration aspect.
Once you get a good ship and a high-end Frame Shift Drive (it's not necessary, but the better the FSD = the longer the jump range = the faster the trip), the entire galaxy open...
Wait. So this means the game has gone gold four whole months in advance? Seems kind of early.
Sony did a lot better this year than Nintendo. And this is coming from a guy who's loved Nintendo since he was old enough to hold a controller and one who hasn't touched a PlayStation console since the PS2 days.
I wouldn't say it was a failure but it was definitely disappointing.
The new Star Fox game looked really good but that was pretty much the only major thing they showed. I wanted to see more of the Wii U Zelda and a new Metroid announcement (no, that Federation Trooper sh*t is NOT Metroid), but alas, they were a no-show.
RIP Metroid
There better be a discount for people that already own it on PC. I really don't want to have to drop another $60 on this game.
nope nope nope nope nope
It's gonna be a looooong 9 days for the rest of us.
I swear to f*** if Mass Effect doesn't make an appearance I'm gonna flip.
RIP wallet
I hardly ever play split-screen so I don't really care if it's in the game or not, but what's so hard about dropping the framerate to 30 FPS to compensate? Hell, Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U could run two players at 60 FPS and 3+ at 30 FPS. Nintendo did it, so why can't 343i? It's not exactly a technological hurdle.
Nice. Fox looks like he's about to kick someone's ass.
