So you mean you've never played Assassin's Creed, Batman's Arkham series, Need for Speed, or any other multi-platform game?

If it was only about exclusives, Xbox 360 would have died last gen.

There weren't all that many compared to what the PS4 has now and coming

You know, when I hear Sony talk about indie gaming and what they're doing I always hear a lot of passion and conviction in them. It always sounds like they believe they're doing something really great, and they're fully behind everything they're saying.

The ID@Xbox guy really felt like he was just going through the motions. No passion at all. Just relaying data. :(

Author, are you just noticing this? :/

Jabs aside, I was pleased to hear about the new content coming to Vita. Tales of Hearts R, Child of Light, Minecraft, Tales from the Borderlands, and others.

I too have grown tired of the picture Sony has been painting of the Vita lately, but frankly it has worked for Sony. More people have Vitas now. I hope now that the company can refocus and start bringing the prestige to the Vita that it deserves.

Sony spent like 20 minutes, AFTER the first hour, talking about TV... and there's no such thing as Sony Smart TV.

I don't think you were watching the same show.

Quick correction: His name is Geoff Keighley, not Geoff Knightley. :)

That said, I agree with this, and with one other writer (to an extent) that said someone very new to all this could have walked away from the conference not knowing that Microsoft sold a console with all these games.

I do believe, however, that Microsoft did accomplish something it really needed to accomplish: to convince gamers that it really is about gaming, and that plenty of good conten...

Some great points.

Especially the celebrities. I really don't give a crap about what they think about video games. Some of them don't look like they even play any.

Very thoughtful predictions. I agree that Microsoft will have to be very clear and concise. The last console to have an identity crisis was the Wii U, and the Xbox does not need to delve into the territory of mediocrity that the Wii U has. E3 2014 could be the most important E3 the Xbox One will ever have; Microsoft will only have so many chances to fix gamers on the Xbox One's side.

Jack was the only person to leave from Sony. Naughty Dog is not part of Sony, but its own company that is affiliated with Sony.

I LOVE mine, and most people who own one feel the same. I think it'll be a worthwhile investment. :)

I'll use my last bubble here to point out that most people here so far have said things like "If it's true," and "Take it with a grain of salt," and the article itself questions VGChartz's information. The whole point of this is that we don't know if it's right, but if it is it's a big deal!

I think they are probably pretty close. Statistics sites don't always get it right, but it's not like it's a frequent thing for most of them to be DRAMATICALLY wrong.

I also think the 280,000 estimate currently going around is rather low considering the winning tally just a month before was 908,000--even with the Christmas holiday.

Can't argue with that. :) I think it's definitely a PR tactic. Sony has been gaining a reputation as the "nice" company. Nice to developers, nice to gamers. I think this is Microsoft's way of getting some of that rep, especially after how it behaved earlier in 2013.

Regardless, I think it's a refreshing change. I hope it rubs off on the community, even a tiny bit.

There's something you guys are forgetting. This is not backwards compatibility. Sony said so themselves. This is merely an alternative to backwards compatibility, which makes sense.

I'm out of bubbles after this, but what I think you should remember is that Nintendo's goal right now canNOT be to compete with PS4 or Xbox. Nintendo's recovering from a failure. Competing with two wildly popular devices that just sold a fourth of what Nintendo sold in a year EACH in just a couple days is not a smart short-term goal.

I think the fact that it's selling right now in the first place is very good news to them, and they want to keep that going. Nin...
