Thanks for listening!
Sorry you feel that way, Morgan, but for the podcast, as I mentioned, there's really no way to make the title "informative." We can only put in there the name of the podcast and what the podcast is about, and we can't list ALL the things it's about, so we can only pick a couple--or simply leave it as "PlayStation Unchained 54," which is flat and uninspiring, and not informative at all. We chose Batman because we thought it would be interesting and eye-catching....
PrinceOfAllSaiyans reminds me. Watch_Dogs got a release date on Wii U! :D
Sorry to have upset you! :(
We really don't have room in the title to list ALL the things we talk about. That's what the description is for, and the description here on N4G and the actual article this links to are both clear that there is much more content in the episode than just the Batman thing. Admittedly, this description is less thorough than the article because when I try to be more complete with the description someone on N4G reports it for being too long. Rat...
This article feels like a whole lot of nothing. The entire thing could be shrunken into one simple sentence:
"Destiny is getting average numeric scores from reviewers and high praise from gamers and we don't know what it means."
Mocking? No.
Oh, really, it is? It beat Watch_Dogs? :O
@MELMAN26
Well you don't have to be part of the IGC to lose interest. The game will have been out on Xbox for a good year and many gamers will have already had some exposure to it for awhile by the time it launches on PS4. The initial excitement for a new release often helps sales, and in this case unless there's lots of fanfare and maybe accompanying DLC, there may not be much for the PS4 release. Could that make people less interested in the game?
A...
One question I bring up in the podcast is whether or not PS4 gamers will still care as much about Tomb Raider then as they would now. It will have been out on Xbox for awhile, and more PS4 games will have launched. Do you think interest in the game for PS4 gamers would go stale by the time it finally launched on PS4?
This is a podcast though. XD
If it's done as well as the Naruto games were, I'll be a happy guy! :D
Well there's no point in releasing updates just for the sake of releasing updates. There's no race to see who can release the flashiest updates. I'd rather Sony take its time and release things right than rush and release something crappy. Plus Microsoft had a bunch of features and such to catch up on. The PS4 could use a few features, but it's been very clear that Sony is working on all of that.
Well, that depends on how you look at it!
Are we diverse because we're Racial Diversity Gaming Hour, or are we Racial Diversity Gaming Hour because we're diverse?
In our minds, it was the latter. As LightofDarkness said, tongue in cheek. The name also is a joking reference to the fact that we're about more than just one kind or brand of gaming.
TheLumilounge, there's a limit to the different kinds of stories that will suit a particular type of video game, for one. For two, I think that idea of yours that we just need to make characters from every race possible is a bad one. That's a good way to stifle creativity and alter the story, by having developers force a character into a specific race. You can't just change the skin color and tack on an accent, you know. There's a whole culture behind each race, and you have t...
True. I'm sure Microsoft is NOT looking for anymore PR trouble.
I just wish he had been more prepared to answer these questions. He was definitely a bit rattled, and it's not like the questions were accusatory or something. That really sends a message that something's wrong. For the vision thing, even if he gave a canned response like, "We're not ready to comment about the feature at this time, but we'll give everyone news as soon as we can," tha...
lol. I vastly prefer discussions to childlike temper tantrums.
Watch Dogs was actually not the first "next gen" game at all, and not even for Ubisoft alone. Several have already come out before Watch Dogs.
To me, Ubisoft's use of Aiden just says that it wanted to tell a particular story with a particular kind of character. Aiden Pierce does fit the story Ubisoft was trying to tell. He's a former criminal who lost his daughter due to his prev...
Here, "dying" means declining in general public and developer interest.
While I agree that Watch_Dogs has disappointed, this article feels speculative at best, and full of non-issues-made-issues (such as the fact that Aiden Pierce is a "white, gruff-voiced American who has family problems") that make me feel like you just don't like the game and were scraping for reasons to justify that opinion.
You do bring up some good points, though. The cross-gen thing does provide some annoying limitations--but those can be handled in ways that...
Okay, that's a weird, dodgy little interview. Chris Charla has something to say, but he's not saying it--and while that's not uncommon, the fact that it's so painfully obvious here is strange.
Unfortunately, it sounds like something's wrong.
I wasn't aware that N4G has an up or down vote option. o.o
