I'm only playing one of the best looking FPS games to date and it's just the beta. Are you from Guerilla? Did they dumb down the graphics for the beta? Sure as hell doesn't look like it.

If the graphics are not possible without Blu-Ray, then how come I'm playing this gorgeous beta on my PS3 without a Blu-Ray disc? The beta for KZ2 is 442mb. I could fit it on a CD or a 1gb thumb drive. KZ2 doesn't need Blu-Ray for the high quality graphics. Blu-Ray is a convenience just like DVD was when it was first introduced. It's the PS3's hardware that makes KZ2 so awesome.

It wasn't word of mouth. It was a Capcom game and Capcom was the number 1 3rd party developer for the NES. Pretty much anything they released was a seller.

Blackberry sucks. Period. It's the worst service and worse device every created. Try running a corporation without BES servers and it's just a dumb email dumping device which defeats the whole purpose of owning one. Get a BES server and you still have issues with the desktop redirector and the BB towers having issues. THEY SUCK! I thought he was comparing the QUALITY of Xbox Live games to PSN. That's how he started off. He didn't say anything about distribution until we told him he was wrong. He kept referring to 'Next Gen' quality. My point was that you CAN get next gen games off of Xbox Live. I'm a proponent of DD and that's why I think Blu-Ray won't catch up to DVD. DD is already starting to get big. By the time Blu-Ray starts making inroads into homes, people will have already started switching to DD. I can't see the whole world switching to a new disk format with DD on the horizon. I just can't see it.
BTW, I own both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.

Blu-Ray doesn't need saving and it will break records. However, it will not even come close to DVD sales and Blu-Ray will absolutely, never catch up to DVD.

The only way to get the mods to take action is to not come to N4G for a week. Go elsewhere. Let their rank drop and their advertising dollars drop and send emails to mods complaining.

I bought a $70 HD-DVD player to get those titles that are either better on HD-DVD or haven't arrived on Blu-Ray yet. Plus it's cheaper. You can buy HD-DVD's for $6. I still support Blu-Ray too. I just like having options. Not sour at all that one format won over the other. It had to happen. I'm still looking at mass storage DD options to get ready for the future.
Game Informer is full of it. I didn't like Resistance 1 that much. It was good but not great. My press copy of R2 arrived today and I'm a changed man. THIS is what an EPIC FPS should play like. It's a lot like R1 but everything I didn't like about R1 is improved VASTLY. The giant boss battles are a hoot. Can't get online until tomorrow it seems but I'll be posting my review soon. An 8.5 is not a worthy score of this game and GI should be ashamed of themselves.

For HD MOVIE playback you need Blu-Ray but I've heard you could play very small HD movies on a DVD9. You just need the right decoder.
