The fact that both 360 and PS3 sales are steady is a good thing. It means people are moving over to next gen in Japan. However, they are still getting utterly destroyed by Nintendo.
PS3 version isn't inferior. I've played both. Stop spreading lies.
They will be using the Madcatz SFIV arcade controllers for the competition. So no need to worry about crappy 360 dpad or less crappy PS3 dpad.

@morganfell - FF found it's success on the Nintendo platforms.
@CViper - Are you saying GT5P is a better sim than Forza 2? That's all I'm asking. I think that because of a lack of physical damage in GT5P, it's impossible to compete fairly online and it's too forgiving. Driving physics are nice though. I think Forza puts more detail into things that matter to online racing and customization.
I'm considering getting both collector's editions. I've never bought a collector's edition...ever!

Microsoft COULD use Blu-Ray but it would be cheaper for them to go with 100gb HD-DVD.

@everyone else - I'm guilty of being a proponent of the 360 for many reasons. I got my 360 right before the PS3 came out. I saw a lot of 360 hate that first year I owned one and I was having a great gaming experience. This cause me to defend it. I've been defending the PS3 since I first bought mine. I remember when 360 fanboys would say the PS3 had no games but I was playing Heavenly Sword, Warhawk and Motorstorm...
@juuken - Both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray use AVC and VC1 encoding. They look exactly the same. I have both and trust me, they look the same. The only time HD looks bad is when the source material isn't handled properly..ie; upconverting the mpeg version to 1080p and throwing it on a Blu-Ray disc. A good example of this, if you don't believe me, is Transformers, Batman Begins and The Thing. They all look exactly the same.
I don't think it really matters who has the most or the best exclusives. That's not what makes me purchase games or systems. I also don't think consumers wait a whole year and base their system purchases on Metacritic scores and exclusive game libraries. It's all personal preference.
